We looked at the RAV 4 Prime but the specs stated the MPH were the same except the Prime cost more. If we had known the ICE was a back up motor, as you said, we would have found/waited for one because that's what we wanted: battery operated with gas back up. Buyers study the spec sheets! Plus here in WA the Prime wasn't available because of some state law, I think. I liked the video!
@carlito_148Ай бұрын
I mean no disrespect to the comment. But the Prime is available in Washington. Also the Prime will mostly be used as standard hybrid. You only get 40 miles battery only mode

We love our 2024 Corolla Cross ICE. If Toyota came out with a CC PHEV, I would be first in line to place an order. Toyota sells a CHR PVEV in Europe, and it is built on the same TNGA platform as the Corolla Cross, so it would not be a stretch to expect that model here in the future

@@bobpayton6990 Don’t get me wrong, rav4 is a great car with good reliability. I am driving a Toyota Camry 2009 with over 200k miles, and it is still going. I have been paying attention Rav 4 for years because I really wanted one for my next car. However, it hasn’t made any significant design changes since 2019 while its competitors made any changes since 2019. This is disappointing from a personal note since I am a big fan of Toyota.

Toyota is smart. They are keeping mechanic shops, labor&parts services, in loop to suck money out of consumers for gas consumption portion of fixes. We want something non-mechanic, which saves time (2 hr to change oil at dealership) and dollars.
@markkennedy5335Ай бұрын
Good News. Hey Marcello why no news on Corolla Cross Hybrid. Here in BC they know nothing at all. I told them to go on Toyota Thailand and look at 2025. I ordered one August 2023 they told me 8 months this is now going into our 14th month.They have NO news or Timeline on this vehicle. As a former employee I am very disappointed in the lack of communication. This would have been our 8th Toyota. We are giving them till Thanksgiving and then we are cancelling our order and walking across the street to the Honda Dealership. Toyota has gotten way too complacent in my opinion.

Count on the Next gen being Hybrid or PHEV ONLY.... The writing is on the wall... Sienna, Venza, Camry, Crown are all Hybrid ONLY...The RAV4 will be next!!
@ManCaveStudioАй бұрын
There are some excellent advantages to the Hybrid. However, from my research, inclement weather traction is not as good as that of the gas model, and it is also not as good in deep water due to the potential for electrical systems to get damaged. Lastly, towing capacity is significantly reduced for the Hybrid models compared to the Rav4 TRD or Adventure models. Personally, inclement weather traction and towing are incredibly high on my list, and I would favor this over gas mileage. I hope they don't go Hybrid only, as I will have to look elsewhere when I am ready to buy in about 2 years.
@Robmiezer66Ай бұрын
Not to nay say..if deep water crossings and towing are your priorties, the RAV4 should not even be a consideration. Look at a larger SUV, truck, jeep, etc. not a small crossover.

According to the news from Chinese Toyota Changchun Factory, the sixth generation Toyota RAV4 has been put into production. According to the plan, the project plans to invest 4.257 billion RMB, code-named FTCF 312D, and the annual production capacity is planned to be 165,000 vehicles.
