I was on Blue Ridge Parkway a few months ago for an event with Ford. I was asking one of the instructors about driving fast on the road and he proceeded to tell me the story about a guy who got caught twice on a motorcycle out there and he was flagged in their system. His way of saying they're pretty serious about it. He had heard the story from a ranger. I never thought anything of it until now. I imagine that story has to be about Chris lol.
@bluegizmo19833 жыл бұрын
😂 great stories! Back in the early 2000's (when my friends and I were all about 17 or so) I had a friend that totally got out of trouble with the cops in a brilliant way. He and his younger brother were driving around and seen a cop flipping around to pull them over, so he quickly speed off and whipped around a corner and came to a quick stop in the middle of the road out of sight of the cop. He told his brother to get in the back seat and then he opened his driver door and climbed over into the passenger seat. The cop pulled up right after all this took place and seen the driver side door open and no one in the driver seat, so he asked my friend (now in the passenger seat) where the driver was, and he said the driver took off running that way. The cop said "stay here! I'm going after him!" And as soon as the cop drove off to "find the driver", my friend got back in the driver seat and drove off 😂

I live in Cherokee. I know that Ranger. He has been on the scene of over 100 vehicle fatalities on the stretch of road in question. He shook your hand because he has held the hand of dying men that were doing the very same thing. Blue Ridge Parkway is a beautiful road and you should 100% pay a visit. However it demands a lot of respect. Its not your average mountain road.

We made a bad decision to drive home and got pulled over, despite tall boys in plain sight, slurred speech, and wreaking of alcohol also had quite a bit of pot in the car to, after the officer ran my lisence he said just make sure you stop when you make a right turn at a stoplight handed me back my ID and said you could have been at McDonald's by now (which was where I was going) and said have a nice night and left. Never will I ever know why he let us go my friend did say he THINKS he knew that cop. Still think about it all the time definitely was a eye opener
