I think Marky's problem is people keep demanding he watch *Russo* episodes. They're stupid and dumb and full of random shit, but to him... at least stuff happens. People need to start recommending the episodes from early 2000, where Kevin Sullivan, Terry Taylor, and Ed Ferrara were booking WCW, where you had stupid and boring. Where Sid was champion, the nWo 2000 angle was just Jeff Jarrett and the Harris Twins, and "the Total Package" was breaking people's wrists simply because.

Here's a factoid for you! The hooded man that Vampiro was talking to was meant to be Christopher Daniels, and would later reveal himself to be his master and call himself Syndrome. However this didn't happen because Daniels didn't think that it would work out as Vampiro's master and it would've made more sense if Daniels was a student of Vampiro

From what I heard, Ric was written off TV because he needed rotator cuff surgery, so by the time he was back on TV his hair had grown back, which is probably why you can't remember Ric being bald. I remember reading one of Mark Madden's Wrestlezone columns where he discussed Scott Hudson having to commentate shirtless; apparently the week before Russo had his shirt ripped off by someone who was attacking him and Scott (who was a face) made fun of him while Mark defended Russo's physique. You'd think this was reasonable but Russo was salty about it so he apparently wanted both Hudson and Madden to commentate shirtless (Madden was able to get out of it by pointing out that it made no sense for him to be punished because he was pro-Russo while also pointing out that he was so fat it would put viewers off watching).

Cocaine only got used in legitimate medical contexts as a numbing agent, local anaesthetic, and to control bleeding because it has as vasoconstricting properties. It does nothing positive for ADD or ADHD patients. There are no ADD medications that are "basically coke with a few alterations", as you claim. That's complete and utter nonsense. Nope. WWE fans are so dumb. All federations have terrible shows. WCW was better than WWF again by 01, who just kept boring everyone to sleep with the same stuff it'd been for years. TNA has often been great and much better than wwf. Even now, it's much better than aew as they've moved away from copying AEW and started having actual storylines again. You are seeing the benefits of getting rid of that terrible guy the internet loved that almost ended TNA by making it a mini aew

Ric Flair had short spiky hair for the rest of his WCW run so him getting shaved here makes sense 👍 also keep in mind Peacock has dubbed out most of the original WCW entrance themes so they don't hit copyright. Jarrett actually had a nice Muzak version of Kid Rock's Cowboy during this run and The Artist had a Muzak version of Prince's Purple Rain which made his elaborate entrance make more sense 👍

Well remember this was the time that Bischoff was supposedly negotiating with FOX, with the end goal being a setup like RAW and Smackdown today. He even dropped a hint on TV saying "Even Vince McMahon can't do anything about it" So of course the deal fell through (assuming there was one) and Goldberg turning heel ended up being the big shocker that Vince couldn't do anything about. Of course Vince would punch down nine months later and ruin the thoroughly awesome WM 17 by turning Austin heel much the same way but that's for another vid.

I always thought the main problem with the new blood angle was presenting them as heels. Goldturd is the worst wrestler from WCW days. If not the worst, in the top ten worst. He only did 2 or 3 full length normal matches in his entire career and wrestled poorly. They always get him over on squash matches with the three moves: spear, jackhammer and pin.

At least a lot of stuff is happening and a lot of stuff with mid and lower carders. Do episodes of Dynamite where there is nothing but pointless 25 min matches, taking place for no reason or for one of their 50 titles but with no heat. I tried one and it was infinitely worse than this Nitro which looks watchable. You can criticise any wrestling by using the attitude this video is made with but this nitro is much better than tonnes of other stuff including nearly all A-E-Meltzer Dynamites

One thing that I dislike in WCW during this time and even in the past was that so many active wrestlers were the bookers and placed themselves in angles and matches.

After seeing this, I can now understand why Reid Flair went on to become a drug addict. I shot heroin from the age of 15 into my early 30s, but if my dad made me do something like that in front of a live audience, on national television, I would probably still be a junkie...

@@l2jnichol1986what would you ask Herd? How he destroyed Flairs confidence which led to him getting addicted to xanax for 30 years, how he ran away to WWF and disgraced the WCW title and then had a lackluster WWF title run he eventually dropped on a house show before returning to WCW not too long after.... I'm not sure what point you're trying to make.
This could possibly be the new worst episode of WCW Nitro !
