Hi Legend, This was my disaster battle I sent in. Thanks for saving my army, I was just having a really hard time keeping my infantry alive because I would leave them in combat for a bit while managing my monsters and some of them got wiped out because im bad, and I really wanted to live out the skaven elite melee infantry dream. Also that brood horror was damaged from a different battle.

Skaven infantry is very much ratass, their very best lasting less in combat compares to dwarven miners, so keeping them alive is going to be massively hard especially because of their shit leadership. Its possible, but very hard.

Im a fairly new RTS player and warhammer 3 total war was actually the first strategy battle/campaign game i played, ive been playing it for the past 3 months non stop and ive been loving it.. perhaps its the setting and characters but i love how the game plays, scratches an itch i never knew i had... i will write a good review with the time i played with it :)

That one damaged Brood Horror reminds me of a Warrior Priest I have in a Cult of Sigmar campaign. Dude always comes on the battle field with ~10% of health missing, even if fully healed prior to the battle. Maybe a health upgrade bug?

Was playing a campaign with VCoast a few months ago and I had units entering the battlefield and immediately dying. Took a while to realize that the bloated corpses I had in my reinforcing army were _exploding_ when they came in because of a bug. So yeah--I would not be surprised if there is a bug with how health is calculated on reinforcement entry.

There's a bug with all characters that have HP modifiers in their stat tree. If they get +15% from their skill tree for example, sometimes they bug out and enter battle with that 15% missing. If you have any savefiles please help report on CA's bug report forums, unfortunately my files all have mods and CA seems to be looking for unmodded saves only.

I agree with Legend here. Hopefully if the execs at CA see that we as a community can and are organized together, they'll realize that we have the real power here and they should (within reason) design with us in mind instead of their own ideas, and let the passionate developers and writers do what they think is best as they too are a part of the community. I might be optimistic, but the only way to show the community has power is to unionize and show it. We started with Shadows of Change and we can continue until the proper people who made the horrible decisions that led to the downfall of Total War are held responsible, instead of holding the developers and people without any decision power responsible. We won once already, with Thrones of Decay shaping up to be a beautiful DLC that was really well received. Let's not lose momentum and keep up the organized community so we can save Total War together.

For the brood horror at 5:30 taking damage, this map and a few others have a certain reinforcements issue where when reinforcements begin making their way in if there's any sudden change in elevation or slope they will take "fall" damage and lose a bunch of health. It's really common on chariots, monstrous units, and other large entity units. I really think they should just remove fall damage as it is extremely clunky and can legit ruin large entities. Also, there are rare cases where you can actually force the opponent to take fall damage.

I changed my review almost immediately after Thrones of Decay. We can only hope that the next DLC will be no worse. In general, I’m not particularly happy with the “canceled” DLC of Cathay, or the “current” plan for DLC - but if they include a free good rework/rebalancing of some old factions, like in thrones with the empire, then this will be a good step.

I got Warhammer after the whole drama. As a brand new player post-disaster, I can give a fresh perspective on it. I have little complaints, the game is solid. Plenty of factions, content, and map scale. Battles are the most visually pleasing of any title so far. Diplomacy is a bit lackluster, allies only ever drag you to war, but that's always been a flaw of total war games. Would like to see Three Kingdoms diplomacy make a return, not sure why they haven't used it in other titles.

Probably known already, but if you slow down the video to 0.25 at the 9 second mark, you can see the Brood Horror being damaged already. So it actually did not take damage. It was already missing health when on campaign map. Reason it heals is because it's a single entity. All units only heal/resurrect up to their number of entities they started the battle with.

One bit of advice that has helped me is that camera positioning can help a lot especially in the early phases of a complex battle. It's a small thing but try to have a "neutral" position you return the camera to every so often to assess what's going on.

Since I got into TW with Medieval 2 the pause key is my best friend. No problems with Micromanaging that way. And I can enjoy the battle animations. Poor Legend, sometimes he reminds me of a starcraft PvP player. My lazy brain could never do that.

I honestly have a lot of trouble with managing multiple armies, against multiple armies, there is so much going on in the screen I get overwhelmed and confused and completely lose control of the battle. I've gotten very good at standard battles but the apocalyptic 2V2s and higher of the end game are something I'm always dreading.

I would really like to post a positive review about this game, but the AI is going so downhill that I just don't see the point of doing campaigns on legendary that are won by turn 40-50, there's no strategy left in this game just going through the motions. The only thing that keeps this game going is the warhammer world popularity and rich lore and great faction diversity, so it's a nice Sims game with warhammer armies. The only thing that is better now is that CA is not so shitty and dismissive towards us the customers and they gave us some new shiny unbalanced new toys that look flashy, but the core of the game, need for strategy and some semblance of an AI that does something are close to nonexistent anymore, after turn 40-50 I'm not even sure if the AI even works anymore cause it feels like it just shuts down. It's like getting a Ferrari and finding out it only goes to 100km/h cause the engine stops if you try to go higher. Sure it still looks good and all but you bought it to drive it at high speeds.

I think i'll change my review after the next DLC I think! Thrones of decay is a good step down the right path - but we had to fight so bloody hard to even get them on the path and with the inflation having dropped would like to see if the next DLC will go back down to ogre kingdoms/champions of chaos / warhammer 2 DLC prices rather than the new norm of 20. Love the idea and love the direction they're going just gonna take a bit to get me happy again after shitting on my face.

Just written my review (Da_Kapikulu) and one big thing in my opinion is that the game is overwhelming. (Its great yes!) but too much. Too much stuff now, and I think having an army limit of 10-12 Units (with 20-24 in a big battle) would make the game much more enjoyable. While also having more cost to provide for such "full stacks". It will be less of a spam game and more a manageable tactic game. I love it when I can manage my units as a human, but the game will make you manage 40 - 60 vs 60-80 units very quickly and blow your brain out. I would increase unit sizes, but decrease unit limits. As a Total War Veteran it had always been 20 Units an army, but I do not think it is good for the game. Also, the AI is underwhelming, Legendary difficulty is too easy. AI is Spamming too much too, it needs to get more tactical & enjoyable!

An interesting opinion, but not one I can say I personally agree with in regards to army sizes. I think quite the opposite. I would like to field 40+unit stacks. I love the overwhelming sense of the battlefield and micromanaging in a panic. It makes me feel like an actual general trying to lead a chaotic battle! The AI is definitely brain dead though and I do not think narrowing the army size will fix that.

5:33 it was damaged already before the battle. I've seen that bug many times before, the units that are arriving on the battlefield appear as a 100% hp unit and then they are reduced to their actual HP. I've also noticed that the current damage taken (the red part that appears on the units hp pool) indicator takes longer to disappear so it may look like your units are taking damage for no reason but in reality they were supposed to arrive with that amount of HP.

Haha having damage unit coming in, oh CA. I've been playing a high elves campaign (pretty late campaign already) and I have phoenixes and dragon stack and at the end of a major siege battle, one or two of my unit die without a reason

I have to say I probably would have really disliked your behaviour in the past from what I've heard. However just like with the game my goodwill for you has only gone up with the integrity and well placed positivity you've shown interacting with the community with stuff like this (also your easy mode explanation and general attitude interacting with players for example) It's all been very respectable so kudos. That’s more than half the total time I’ve played since the original release of tww3 more than 2 years ago (circa February 2022) I’m here solely for the Immortal Empire content. Realms of chaos is mid in my humble opinion.

Legend I love the content and I love the position you take on a lot of things. But this is one I disagree on. @@LegendofTotalWar Trust me brotha that love for the game brought me back into the series and you even helped me get to legendary difficulty as a normal difficulty. I also understand wanting to make a positive impact. Honestly the community does need a head or rather heads To direct the mobs however the community needs to also grow up some. The passive idea of not my problem, or meh what’s a blood pack dlc to me, It’s called nickel and diming. The act of over charging small amounts for petty services. Do it enough times and that 5 and 10 cents turns into hundreds and thousands of dollars. I love this game like no other and Im the first to say a lot of this isn’t the lone developers fault. Bad management and company direction is what poisons a well of talent. But CA is not anywhere near deserving of a pat on the back. Restructure your corporate ladder get some positive management in for your development team, talk to your community about what is happening and give us the news that is gonna suck but will make for something better. Next total war is gonna be a while. Until then here are the massive fixes for these games we support que the fixes for Warhammer and pharaoh que some dlc for these games. Then come back when you have a functional game engine and a game that can be built on it. EA has made a career of how little work can we do on a game to return a profit, way to many studios like CA saw this and went heeeeey they charge 60 a year for a new football game with almost carbon copy roster with a few trades and stats updated. Then you spend hundreds to thousands on dlc and lootboxes. All so when you play you can watch your character do the stretch arm strong… cause everyone knows Mr fantastic the running back for the chiefs.. or same with star wars spend close to 10 years playing and you can unlock vader or spend the 300 now to do it.. Im not saying dlc is the enemy but if it’s dlc then it needs to be elden ring style.. I have a full game that delivers an amazing story and experience. The dlc does not make the game any less than the original product by not being included but also does actually add and improve things and experience if you did purchase it. So at the end of the day you’re not missing much. I’m not gonna say bad legend don’t be positive. Take the stance you have and Ill still be tuning in. I enjoy a content creator who will share his thoughts and opinions without much of a filter

I'm a bit mixed. On one hand, I haven't bought any new DLC since they bumped the price up to what I feel is a frankly unreasonable price for chorfs. And there is the whole me not really going back to play it since close to Shadows of Change's launch. So, I am missing chorfs to now and have kept my review as negative since then. It's nice they're actually fixing parts of the game, but I really hesitate to reward their price bump. I'm still annoyed people rewarded them during the chorfs and I saw Thrones coming from a mile away.

You can write negative things on a positive review. Ive always kept a "positive" review because the game is good, I enjoy it, I play it often. Economics/politics asid, it is a game id recommend to anyone whos interested in this genre. I never bought shadow of change, but have bought thrones of decay and its great.
