Hugs to you guys. Just to be clear, you're working for KZbin's relentless algorithm that duly punishes content creators for abnormal release schedules. A consistent release schedule is impossible to keep up for any amount of extended time. You are not working for us. We are not your boss. Everybody here who is subscribed will watch whatever you put out whenever you put it out. Take care of yourselves, your relationship, your family. We are not the algorithm, we are a bunch of normies living vicariously through your amazing adventures and pulling for you every step of the way. Cheers!

I CANNOT applaud you both enough for not falling victim to the young parenting mindset of hovering over your children..so much so that they aren’t able to learn critical thinking and basic skills on their own. Kids knock their teeth out all the time..kids fall, break bones, skin their knee. So proud of you both for allowing your children the chance to truly explore play adventure and yes even injure themselves. Bravo! 🙌🏻🙌🏻🙌🏻🙌🏻

Married 37 years. Lindsay and I always made our relationship the 1st priority with the understanding that sacrifices have to be made based on the life journey you choose to take. Sounds like I am talking past tense and I am. Lindsay died of cancer a year ago and I miss her every day. I guess if I have any advice, don’t make life more complicated than it already is. Love each other every minute of every day, and “live life like you’re dying”. Let the BS roll off like water on a ducks back.

I'd say NO relationship is perfect, and many are far from perfect. It either takes a combination of change & acceptance on both people's part or it's doomed. OBTW, in my experience, men are MUCH more likely to change and accept than women who are MUCH more likely to want to mold the man into what they want. Women - quit shaking your heads - you know it is true.

My husband and I just passed our 29th wedding anniversary, honestly still feel 29 some days, it's surreal. Anyway, we are still learning how to be better partners to one another not because we didn't learn anything up to now but because as we age our needs change and the best thing you can do for your partner is talk about what you need from one another and then do your best to meet those needs. You guys are doing a great job!!

This was a great update. Thanks guys for some first class entertainment over several years now.I couldn’t be more pleased for you, and you deserve all your successes, because they come from hard work. Unless a person has worked in content production, they cannot appreciate how many hours go into each episode. Frankly, I don’t know how you’ve kept up the pace, releasing weekly, and also living your lives and designing boats and apps and swimsuits and writing books. Amazing!

I work from home with my wife and the ups and downs are kind of normal but it can feel cataclysmic. I strongly believe there is a learning curve when sparks start flying that can lead to more maturity. We can hang on during those times, keep respectful during struggles while learning and adapting together. It's a shame so many bail quickly. We're about to be empty nesters now after raising 4 kids and it's kind of exciting again!

I was thinking the exact same. I’d never advocate for anyone to stay in a relationship that was abusive but if it’s a roller coaster with an overall upward trajectory then hang on for the ride and…reach new personal and relationship highs ❤ I’m sure Elayna and Riley will level up again and again over their lifetime because they have already proven they can do it by weathering their rise to superstardom with family intact and all healthy, wealthy and wise!

Great video. As a mama that cyberschooled my kids, I got crap about their socialization all the time from B&M parents. They were in outside activities, had friends and are all thriving in college and in life. And I didn't have to teach them either, after my middle child's 2nd grade, when online teaching became available. We all loved it. Best part is teach to their academic potential not to the average of a classroom, and pursue their interests.

So glad you guys did the work to get through the rough patch in your relationship and were willing to not only seek good counsel, but also listen and make the changes you both needed to make. The boys are absolutely adorable and so blessed to have such amazing parents. Parent or not, I think it's in many of our natures to find out what dangers we may need to prepare for or prevent in new environments. Prevent as in, don't do stupid things in Grizzly territory, don't swim with alligators, that kind of thing. Love you guys dearly, take care and May God be with you on your adventures. God bless.

It’s been clear from your videos over the last year that you have really been stretching yourselves and putting yourselves under a huge amount of pressure, then at the same time you’ve had your home (the old boat) and effectively your access to sailing taken away for a period of time. Personally I hated living in hotels and temporary accommodation and that must have been really hard with two kids. I’m so happy for you that you are taking positive steps to change the things in your lives that aren’t positive. I wish you both a very happy and loving future and look forward to seeing what you do next.

You two are relationship goals - doing something very challenging, but smart enough and in love enough to stop and assess what it's doing to you - a happy family is everything. Jobs come and go, family shouldn't. Lenny looks so proud holding his book 💕 Darwin and the pizza - oh my goodness what a little king he is - he owns his life. PS I love love love your schooling plan - the actual learning time in a brick and mortar school is pretty short - the rest is shuffling kids around, recess, lunch, waiting your turn for help - and your boys will have the enrichment of world travel. Lucky lucky boys!

You guys seem pretty level headed to me. That book........I know it and learned from it. But it takes two to tango, learning existential things like that can also mean you grow apart, that happens too. I applaud the fact that the two of you , despite all the problems. do seem to stay on the same page and hence grow as a couple and a family. Kudos to you and keep on going and take it easy!

A lot of strong relationships go through what you guys go through. It's normal. Just remember to communicate and listen and be vulnerable, don't be disrespectful. One helpful thing that someone told me was, " speak to how you'd want to be spoken to." Meaning, if you say something rude, how would it make you feel if someone spoke that was to you. Also, with your travels, don't rush. Enjoy the process. I've been a fan of yalls for a few years and love that basics. Seeing yall live a free er life, than what I live, is super fun and inspiring. Cheers!

The channel, sailing videos always have been amazing, but what is truly remarkable is the fact that over time you have always shared your life from all the ups & downs as much as possible or caught up with it when able. Sharing your life under the spotlight and your life ups and downs are very brave, remarkable and special, anyone sensible and with some life experiance knows what life, kids and how difficult that can get - it never really about land or sea it about relationships, jobs, and always family. I'm always in love with your family and not just the exotic-looking life. Thanks for the fantastic content, life lessons and keep fighting for one another and the family and do what your heart and head tells you - most of us will follow you're life stories shared no matter the path but put yourselves always first. All the very best for the new LVB 3 launch and trips to come, be safe and love to all. ❤👍

You’ll never stop learning about each other, especially as the kids grow up. Everything is amplified in a small living space, I think you’re doing very well. As for fitness, it’s a must for living at sea especially. I don’t really notice the detail of your physicality, I just see fit healthy young people with kids. Plus, I love that you’re fellow Aussies showing the world an alternative lifestyle. Keep up the great work ❤❤

OMG. Men are from mars. That book had me looking over shoulder like the dude had been watching me. I still think about it every time my wife unloads a problem onto me - I stop myself from suggesting solutions! And it's like magic, it changes the whole dynamic and she appreciates me just listening to her. The difference is wild. Good on you for improving yourselves! Love from Alice Springs, still sailing my 40ft land yacht

I promise the best book is "his needs her needs.". It's an easy read and make since to learn quickly. I also saw a video of a person asking an older couple what the secret of a long marriage was, He said we never fell out of LOVE for each other at the same time. WOW how profane and interesting. Meaning through life we each fall out of love with our partner but work to regained that we promised each other in the beginning. How wonderful.

So excited for your newest endeavor, the launching of your new boat! Considering everything you have accomplished, every story that you have scripted, the places that you have seen, and the inspiration you have gifted to all your viewers, my suggestion for your new boats name is The Origin, or La Origin. It by definition means; the point or place where something begins, arises, or is derived. Also sounds like the color orange 🧡

I've been lurking for a long time, always "liking", not commenting. I love your videos. What I'm thinking when watching: OMG Elayna is so beautiful, inside and out. Riley is just too handsome but enough of a rascal to keep it real. Your kids are gorgeous and you are amazing parents, even when you fail. Because holy crap we all failed, especially at that age. It doesn't matter if you're on a boat or have 1,000 acres of land. They can suck every ounce of energy out of you. And yet...well you know. Jeez, trying to fit in everything I want to say. How much time do I have?

Boat nickname: Following Sunrise - life follows sunrise. Your so right about your parenting skills. I saw an article about a study showing that "bubble wrapping" children is a reason for teenage and young adult anxiety and depression. Children who have a parent hovering over them and never have any experiences doing their own thing doesn't prepare them for life. It doesn't give them the tools to make decisions, problem solve and be proud of something they did by themselves. It also doesn't allow them to learn to fail and accept failure and move on. Experiencing a perfect childhood makes miserable adults.

Elayna you have never looked so well. Not even in the first videos. There must be a huge element of you finding yourself as an individual. I am happy for you. Riley has been in advance of you probably due to his life threatening injury prior to sailing. As such you are on par with your journeys. To cap off your existence you have two beautiful boys who give so much joy to the World. They are loved by two fundamentally great parents and you should both pat yourself on the back. On the sailing side I can't wait to see the trimaran in the ocean. Thank you for cheering up my life- that's why I watch.

I do SO HOPE we can experience more videos like this. All your content is BOMB anyways but this one really resonated with me for some reason. I think it's because we've (you guys and all us viewers) have really become like family in a way. Not traditionally, but in a longevity and growth kind of way! Elayna, you always look amazing and it’s so obvious that you’ve always been intentional about your health and fitness. Both by watching what you cook on the boat and even you doing stretches and yoga, etc. You are definitely an inspiration to many of us women as we recognize as we are getting older it is so hard to maintain that. Please know that people probably don’t say anything because they don’t want you to feel objectified in any way. It’s such a weird culture anymore where people feel like they can’t even compliment people sometimes because the person might receive that compliment in an unintended way. Not that you would but I think so many of us have been trained and programmed to withhold compliments that have to do with physical attributes, especially toward a woman. Also, I see you as very smart and hard-working, and even though you always look amazing, I want you to recognize that your viewer community sees the dynamic and well-rounded person that you are and not just a gorgeous human. You both are an inspiration to so many of us! I know keeping up on the videos can be tough on your personal life but thank you for everything you do for those of us around the world watching.

Perhaps if Riley didn’t interrupt Elayna as much she could express herself… I stopped watching about a year ago after subscribing for many years because I felt so frustrated for her. About 5 min into this video I remembered why I stopped. And not just my opinion… I’ve seen this same thought on every comment section over hundreds of vids.

Yes indeed. Not hard edged title but I wish when Elayna started to make a statement, Riley wouldn’t interrupt with some comment. It’s a sad look Riley. Let the women speak her mind. No skin off you unless you make it so. Just saying. She gets cut off almost every time she speaks and doesn’t finish a sentence. What’s that about? It’s not all about any one person I assume. Maybe I’m wrong. Just saying. Be sensitive to her mind Riley. It does have a voice. Listen.
