Someone is turning GEOMETRY DASH into a HORROR GAME...

Dash For Your Life is an upcoming indie horror game that utilizes the formula and gameplay of Geometry Dash to make a brand new horror experience. This is incredibly strange to me which gave me the desire to talk about it.

Dev here: Thanks for the video, i love the feedback! What most don't understand is that the original video was created specifically to get feedback on what people do and don't like about the very early pre-alpha build I had at the time. Your feedback will directly go into how I shape the game, so that's why I don't mind many of the negative comments I seem to be getting. For every 10 bad ones there is 1 that gives great feedback on what I currently have. I will be finishing the game and it is a serious project, its not a joke or for LUL's, despite what people think haha. I can't give away too much because it would spoil the really cool concepts and stuff I have (i think they are cool atleast LOL). Again thanks for the feedback! I'll refer to this video again a little down the road when I am working on art direction properly, as well as some of the other aspects you touched on. Oh also please wishlist :))) it helps me out!

Hey, mod/teaser creator for dfyl here. The dev has revealed that there will be MAJOR changes to the game on twitch, but development is paused until janurary because he's busy with uni. But playtesters have said that it is very unique and fun, and i'm sure that when it's finished, it'll be much better than how it is right now.

Ok so... The developer of this game IS a geometry dash level creator. I burst out laughing when I saw Anubis' channel on the trailer video. This means that this is probably just a goofy thing made by a fan, so it's deliberately made to look like GD.

Tbf, GD is a hard game to make scary, but people have been able to succeed. If you want good examples, check out Peaceful by Zylenox and Save As by Pahc. Stylistically very different levels, but both really do their job well.

Whats hilarious is that this is made by the geometry dash player LmAnubis who was the host of the megacollab "night rider" aka one of the best looking levels of all time So the fact that he is making this abomination is hysterical to me

Theres a geometry dash level called "Lostlocked". That is for me the limit of horror GD can have (im not saying it is outlast but geometry)

Maybe it;s the just the rhythm game loving side of me, but idk how people look at this game and just think it's gonna be slop (the people commenting on the trailer video). My only hope is that chaser box does become more of a threat and the game still remains true to the rhythm aspect, at least slightly.

To be fair, The Impossible Game came out in 2009 and Geometry Dash came out in 2013 so if anything this game is just as much a ripoff of Geometry Dash as it is a ripoff of The Impossible Game.
