I'd like to suggest a couple of cocktails for episodes 3 and 4. For episode 3, I'll be having an Appletini, and for episode 4, I'll be having Hot Apple Cider.

They explain in Season 1 already that if Lucifer is killed he would be pushed back into Hell to rule, wich is why Amenediel tried to get Maclom to kill Lucifer.

That axe scene is honestly one of my favorite moments between Lucifer & Chloe ❤️ I really hate Father Kinley....😡
@IceMetalPunk19 сағат бұрын
Kinley believes Lucifer is really the devil, not possessing a human. The exorcism is to banish him back to hell. As for expecting God to intervene, consider that God never intervenes, but that doesn't stop people from thinking he does anyway -- most people go along with the "God helps those who help themselves" motto, leading them to action.

At least as far as this world is concerned, I don't think exorcism refers just to removing a demon from a possessed human, it refers to banishing (or exorcising) a demon, or celestial, from the mortal realm, no matter what form they appear in. This is technically the same universe as Constantine (ie Hellblazer), and from what I've seen, that's how it works in those comics.

When you finish S4, you’ll look back and wonder just how the packed that much into 10 episodes. There’s even a filler episode which is a lot of fun.
@Assassin02078023 сағат бұрын
why would they fear actions from god at this point? He never did... even when one of his kids got killed (Uriel). We have established the point already, that everyone is using "god´s action" as an excuse...the same why they use Lucifer as an excuse for their own guilt

An exorcism is a ritual to send an evil spirit or demon back to it's origin. It is typically done on a person or place (as to exorcise a building for example), in the case of the devil just walking around earth, an exorcism would still be the ritual to send him back.

These first few episodes are hard to believe after the first three seasons, Chloe definitely knows Lucifer better than a rando priest
@mr.midgardville22 сағат бұрын
Sure. But she'd been away from him a bit. And when the info about him as the devil is that he's the prince of lies. The best liar in the universe basically. Then makes her a bit frightened that what if it was all a big elaborate lie.

Don't worry the 'fun Lucifer' is still coming in this season. The next episode has one of my favourite character introductions. Not just the character, but how they are introduced. I can't wait for your reaction.
@Zerashadow17 сағат бұрын
The introduction can be obscure so will be interessting to see if she gets it at once, but yes, it's one of many peoples favorite characters, even if many don't like them at first xD

Just pointing out that this universe only has one devil figure. So no Beelzebub or Satan will appear. Lucifer is the one and only devil.

Well he already confirmed those names are also his, so in a way they have already appeared. ^^

@irrelevant_noob Good point. He does have multiple names, but don't call him Samael to his face

They're going to find plenty of opportunities to show off Tom Ellis's body (thank you very much) The plot is a lot more complex than you might think.

To understand Chloe's perspective, you must be able to forget that you already know Lucifer's side of the story and approach everything as new information, just as she does. Imagine if one of your married friends came to you today and said that an angel had blessed her with a baby from God, not her husband. Would you believe her? Probably not. But if you were watching the situation from God's perspective, you would, right?

Oh, please do not wait too long for the next one - a couple of big revelations will manifest. Tidbits - the woman sitting at a laptop in the coffee shop that Amenadiel asks what she is writing, is actually a show runner/writer... and when the actress playing Maze got pregnant, they could not have a pregnant demon, so she disappeared for a while. But when the actress playing Linda got pregnant, oh, bonus we can make it an Angel baby! And yes it was superficially implausible that Chloe would not draw her gun against the axe cameraman, even though he was 10 feet away - but it is plausible she knew she could take him with the gun, so complied to get him to confess or incriminate himself before she brought the hammer down. But I will grant that the blocking and scene design was at best awkward and at worst very poorly done to get the Lucifer puts himself between the axe and Chloe trope....

I've generally enjoyed your reactions (although they tend more toward the snarky than I prefer), but you really lost me as a fan with the axe-throwing scene, perhaps the single most emotional moment in the entire show. Does nit-picking really mean so much to you that you are completely impervious to the emotional sweep of the scene? Evidently. I'm not sure I want to watch your reactions after that.

I could never connect with Chloe, from the beginning, more so during this season. I don’t know, I've always thought she wasn’t the right choice for Lucifer

same, same. even after the end of the series, I still don't particularly like Chloe. and that lip job at the beginning of this season is not helping :D in all fairness, I was always team Maze (not as a partner for Lucifer, except maybe partner in crime), so Chloe was never "wild" enough for me ^^

@@MarciaElder I personally don't have as much of a problem with Chloe's actions as just with her character. I was not a fan of hers in S01 and I am not a fan now in S04. do I think that Lucifer needs someone who is a bit more fun? yes, yes I do :D
