Hello guys and gals, it's me Mutahar again! This time we take a look at a new alarming feature that Microsoft wants to implement in upcoming versions of WIndows, a feature named Recall. This feature permits the system to take snapshots of your system to reflect on and becomes another useless feature powered by AI, should you switch to something more respectful? Probably. Thanks for watching!

When I heard Windows 10 was going to be the last I felt a little guilty and didn't want to miss my last chance to "make things right" with Microsoft... so I paid them full price for my copy of Windows 10. Little did I know the one version of Windows I actually paid for would be the worst one yet, and the one to finally drive my pilgrimage to the holy land of Linux.

It will be last legacy x86 os. Win 11 "supports" x86 legacy but only on modern TPM 2 hardware. Windows is going to the Walled Garden and Planned Obsolescence route of Mac in cahoots with the PC big box makers in order to artificially drive sales of newer hardware, even though there's really no need for it. By the time Windows 11 dies, you will need to upgrade your hardware in order to update google chrome to latest version.

I'm the guy who left the reddit comment at the end of this video. I keep using Windows because I rely on a lot of niche software for work (I'm a VFX artist/animator). A lot of the tools I use don't even have a competitor, let alone a Linux version. I've tried running a dual boot of Linux and I constantly found myself returning to Windows for various tasks. To be honest, manually installing critical updates and running shutup10++ every other week isn't much of a burden - although I'd rather do without it.

Linux has lots of software, but there are still certain niches where sime critical piece of software is missing, whether MS Office, Adobe products, or professional CAD software. Alternatives exists, but they're often not good enough for professional use, or aren't sufficiently compatible. But for regular home users and some professional uses Linux is usually superior. It provides a better user experience, better UI, runs better on older and weaker hardware while looking beautiful and being responsive, is more stable, and lets you have full control and respects your privacy.

@@Lestibournes I'll confess, I installed Linux uh, I forget what it was. One of the more popular distros. I formatted the hard drive for it using that special file system and everything. But I couldn't get the thing to work seamlessly as a bootable device. Every attempt I made to goto Linux has been a spectacular failure. It didn't just 'work' like Windows does. I didn't even get to the point of installing apps and stuff because it simply would not boot after making a partition and blah blah installing etc. So I reinstalled, using a thumb drive iso basically. Same problem. Even though the SSD formatting was correct. Anyway - if I were to successfully get it to work, how many additional hurdles would I face to simply play the video games I want to play on steam, or Star citizen, etc?I have a high end computer.

@@DepravityWriting This is exactly why I'm tired of pc nerds like myself suggesting linux to your average user. Yes, Linux is arguably better in a lot of ways IF and only if you know what you're doing. Your average user doesn't want the hassle and doesn't have the knowledge to do things easily or intuitively that Windows does. Linux users will always point to some new feature that fixes one part of the many problems a normal tech illiterate user will run into, but there's always plenty of more. Unfortunately, on a topic like this you'll run into a lot of normal users who don't understand the context of the situation looking for answers because they saw a headline, vid, or a tech literate friend said something. TLDR; Stop recommending linux to everyday people. They don't have the niche knowledge to make it work as seamlessly as windows and that really matters.

Where they got caught using key stroke loggers and screen recorders under the guise of being for "office security". AKA, Spyware. It also sounds like a GREAT reason to NEVER use any form of public computer. whether it be in a school, a library, university or TAFE centre.
