I was the same around 4-5 years ago. My friend and I were talking about MrBeast, and the guy seemed shady af to me since the beginning. She was like "but he's so nice, he always gives to the people?" and I said he does that because he earns x2-x3 more from the videos and donations and whatnot, and she was like "yeah, but some earn that much without giving it back at all" but it's not like he was generous and giving back. He either did it for fame or money, and he got to be the most famous youtuber and sell overpriced trash to kids just like that. What's 100k in donations when you make MILLIONS off of it? And it's true, nobody is ever that generous, and if they are they don't do it in front of a camera. A guy like this should donate all the time, since his fans claim he has a good heart, but his donations aren't that impressive. The only "donations" he does are for his youtube videos, and at that point it's a trade, not a donation.
