We are praying here in Central Indiana you guys. On a not quite so serious note, my husband fell while running on the treadmill. and broke a rib, also possibly pulled his arm out of socket. We are waiting for the VA to do an MRI. The urgent care doc said it looks like he will need a surgery on his shoulder. He's in severe pain, and today we have contractors coming to replace our main bathroom. Something we've been waiting for for literally 20 years. If any of you have dealt with the VA and the call center situation, you know how frustrating it can be. You can not call your doctor directly anymore. We are at the mercy of the VA. So anyone reading this, we would appreciate prayer. Nothing compared to Bert's dad's situation by any stretch. Praying for you all. 💕

Your mother is stunning at 70! I pray a cure will be found for your father. God is definitely in charge. My 13 year old son with cerebral palsy and epilepsy had a major surgery to save what ability to walk that he has. Having an intellectual disability, he just doesn’t understand why he hurts. Every day, he prays, “God, me hurt, Amen”. I truly believe God has a plan for him because he has so many kids in our town who love to see him at school, and love to help him. He’s one of our 4 adopted children and we feel so blessed that God chose us for his parents. ❤️

I lost both of my Dad in my late 30s and early 40s lost Mom. It was rough seas. Thankfully my sister, brother, and l are tight. We always get together for Thanksgiving. It's a walk down memory lane. I lost my mom 12/18/23 after being in hospice with her night and day for 3 weeks (with the BEST staff in the world who not only stood by my mom but me as well), then my brother died 3/18/24 (same day of the week) , also in hospice. As a geriatric nurse I realize now..I`m on the road to healing just before Christmas. My mother and my brother...both are released from fears/pain. Both are at peace and at rest. Life begins and ends with pain, mostly for... "the others"

My grandchildren are high school/& college and are amazing, I learned that life is not fair but I am thankful for all I have, memories and beautiful grandchildren. This Christmas is the first one without my husband who died on Memorial Day … colon cancer. The pain is horrible. My mother passed at age 38 … suicide due to spousal abuse. Dad died on the AA Flight 191 crash in 1979. None of these things are easy. Bert, your mother is so beautiful, inside & out, & your father has a great attitude. You are so blessed to have all this wonderful family! I have one sibling states away, so this will be a very solitary holiday. Don’t think I will put up our little tabletop tree… it will be too much of a reminder of last year when I still had Doug with me. We had no idea he was so dangerously ill. Love to all of you.
