Your joy is so comforting. I'm crying today. My son, my daughter-in-law and my grandson just left after being with me all weekend. 2 tree limbs about 4" in diameter that broke off during last year's tornado (hung up by grapevines) finally fell after strong winds and then all day long rain.....right on top of my car. They rushed right up here to help. Now they left to go back home and I'm feeling lonely. You're just what i needed. 🤗♥️

It is almost never the compressor and that is everybody's go-to if they don't know what they're doing. The number one reason we found that refrigerators don't work out of the boxes somehow they have gone into demo mode. Look it up online and find out how to take it out of demo mode and try it. Do not let them replace that compressor, loaded in the truck take it back get a new one if it won't if it's not demo mode you didn't pay for a refrigerator to have a bad compressor and it will go bad again actually the refrigerant will eventually all leak out of it but if it's not in demo mode, take it back!

I also found it interesting that the guy asked if it was used. Makes me wonder if it was truly a refurbished fridge that they sold as new.
@dbeaton1111
@dbeaton1111 2 жыл бұрын
It happens. I bought a new fridge and the compressor was bad right out of the crate. It was under warranty, of course, so the guy came, replaced it, and that compressor lasted about a day. Another compressor change and it finally worked. This was some time ago, before anyone had to worry about a "demo mode."

I had this happen with a new refrigerator that I purchased at Best Buy. They replaced the refrigerator without making a big deal about it. No extra charges, no big hassle. I would absolutely not keep a refrigerator that came out of the box not working. Better to replace it now than to be servicing it constantly. Your warranty should cover a replacement. And, if the warranty doesn’t, the store should.

Things they make these days are junk. Life expectancy of new appliances is 5-8 years! Ask anyone over 60 how much JUNK is made these days. They sold us on "clean energy" but you have to buy 8 times in one lifetime. Fridges used to last 20-30 years! Same with cars...Well everything.

Another wonderful video guys! I'm so happy to see that you are so close to the finish line. As the far as the frig, if l were in your shoes l would insist that it be replaced with a new one. So when you lay the tile in the washroom, be sure to do the tile base around the entire room as well. If the washer ever over flows it'll save your walls and hopefully the water won't run deep enough to flow out your doorway. I recommend a good silicon seal at the threshold of the door. You might want to go old school and have some kind of washtub between the washer and dryer. You grout looked like it was to thick, so if it cracks you might have to dig it out and redo it. Be sure to seal the grout, it's a pain in the ass but it'll look better longer.

Lots of people saying the "trim" on the ceiling looks great but I agree with Allie. Trim is usually a transition, what you have is a border but none of that matters if you're happy with the end result. I wouldn't be as forgiving about the fridge - I'd have given them a week to remedy or refund.

I tend to agree with you. If a brand new refrigerator needs repaired before it's ever really been used, I would be worried that there's some sort of defect. And I'd be concerned about what might happen with it in the future. It's an expensive appliance, and would have to still be under warranty. Better to exchange it now rather than risk more problems later - after the warranty has expired.

@Mandy, you’re right, everything is junk these days. Brand new appliances should not have to have a part replaced. I have a refrigerator in my basement (it’s an old Admiral, don’t even know if that company still exists) and it has been working for over 30 years. It’s still running. We’ve had to replace the fridge in our kitchen three times! Companies just don’t take pride in their work anymore.

I use a curved sod cutting knife to clean out the thin set that comes up between the tile. If you do this while the thin set is wet the only areas you need to scrape clean are the areas under the tile levelers. You can’t be aggressive, but if you are careful it reduces the amount of work after the thin set is dry
