My theory/hope is that the Ferryman created the hourglass of fate. Acting as a kind of arbiter of war. Giving it to both Flameheart and Ramsay, so that they can finally decide who rules the sea of thieves. And for the duration of this battle, the ferryman will allow both sides (skeletons included) to pass through his doors.

@@speakersot2110 I don't think that matters, tons of characters who don't serve Ramsey have plenty of reason to not serve Flameheart and in most cases work alongside Ramsey for mutual interests... like Pendragon, I don't get why people think he is the traitors in Athena's Fortune for one he was never a member, his mutual interests just aligned and two Flameheart represents everything he stands against do you think being trapped in a painting again will be enough to make such a stalwart man as the Champion of Souls break his belief system. Side tangent about Pendragon and peoples shotgun theories aside the reason I bring all that up is just because someone isn't a direct subordinate of Ramsey doesn't mean they don't work with him due to shared ideals Merrick is another great example, to that end I can think of many reasons the Ferryman is in the same boat if you pardon the pun.

So to correct one of the info on this video : they did use the killer whale to make Reaper’s Hideout, tho they only used a part of it, the front one to be more precise. That’s why the mast where Merrick’s journal used to reside is now long gone. It now is this big brasier thingy that should totally burn the whole thing down if it wasn’t held by scenarium. As for the back part, that’s the part we can still find. And as for Belle’s killer whale, it was only a reconstruction brought from the sea of the damned made of Merrick’s memory. How did she do that ? Belle’s buoy’s made of scenarium.

Actually, Flameheart didn't use the "seafort way" of coming back from the start because he needed to wait for the festival of the damned, a time of the year where the veil between the worlds get weaker. Still, that doesn't excuse the fact that every other of his attempts just made his enemies stronger.

I thought it was established that the skeletons aren't "real" skeletons, but pirates that had given themselves over to greed and are unable to die or even go to the sea of the damned. They are stuck in the material world. So the "skeletons" that end up on the ferry have to go back. They have no choice.

Flameheart didn't betray Wanda and Jim. Wanda is stubborn, vain and powerhungry. There were tensions leaving him. Jim was suppose to drink from THE CALICE much sooner but he fled and caused delay. In the herald of the flame adventure Flame kept his promise and Jim became an ashen lord but he couldn't stop the pirates and Pendragon for destroying his skull.

Flameheart promised Wanda that she would be his queen, but laughed at her face when the time came. Jim did not want to be a skeleton. Flameheart tricked him by saying he was going to revive the ashen Lords. He never told Jim that he was one of the ingredients though... Yep, I see no betrayals at all.

Mike Chapman actually commented on the killer whale from the adventure. Supposedly it’s not the actual one but basically a “new” one made from memories. Since it wasn’t the original it’s why the figurehead was supposedly different.

Maybe a sort of wierd limbo, surrounded by fog - you see coffins and normal skeletons everywhere around you and can run back to the living world through a coffin that opens. ⚰

The lore of the ferryman himself doesnt make sense, apparently not long after Ramsay discovered the sea of thieves some pirate went to the highest peak he could find. He then buried himself alive for no reason and became the ferryman

How come no one ever talks about how broken and unbalanced pvp is ...the story has never made sense but pvp was better at release than its ever been since as all they do is add more tools and no rules to balance them oh except all the rules that make sloops op and completely separate rules from other crews this game is broken to its core

I always thought of the game as not in chronological order since you can play any thing at any time. Like development of the actual sea/islands of SoT is chronological but not the stories. But maybe thats just me.

I’ve seen some comments complaining about the ads so I just wanna balance it out a bit. I personally would support ads on every video. This content is free and amazing and takes a long time to make. As well as the ads being very relevant to the audience. You can also skip the ads if you really don’t want to watch them. I’ll tell you what’s wrong with the sea of thieves story, se of thieves started off as a pirate game. About loot, battles , attacking and looting other players. But now, sea of thieves is just a really simple fairytale. I bought a pirate game, not a ridiculously simple and unrealistic fairytale.
