The only thing is how fast they respond to each other over the radio. Could be asking a question that would take at least a few seconds to answer even if the information is right in front of you but they still instantly respond to each other a lot. Like they are speed reading through a script almost. Could have done with a few pauses or the sort of weird idiosyncrasies we all, or most of us anyway, tend to have. Still great chemistry and all the characters are interesting in their own way, very well written for a game

Loving this series - voice acting is amazing! Just wanted to also point out that 38:04 is also extra creepy because Jess not only knew/heard that Jack was attacked by someone, but he also told her at 21:53 that he found Nick's body in one of the storage sheds. Super creepy for her to see a random guy appear in a dead guy's suit, but smart of her to ask him who he is to see what he says... if he gave a different name but had an explanation (i.e. I'm Bob but my suit was damaged and this was the suit that fit/Nick is missing/has extra/lent me his....etc.) then it would be fine, but she wanted to see if he would lie. The fact he did means he most likely killed Nick and she should book it ASAP... clever lady!

Agreed, he is extraordinarily talented and getting better. What a genius at portraying pathological narcissism gone off the rails into psychopathy! The nuance in the character’s build-up is remarkable. Of course, the character is also extremely well written, remarkably so for the medium. Even when Wyatt says that he talked to his daughter about her studies and she is following in his footsteps - something that makes him a little more likable and where his pride should be understandable - you can still hear the unhealthy narcissistic charge through the sadness of not being able to be with his family. Even in what might be his most sympathetic statement, “Being a proud parent is the best medicine ….” he manages to get that narcissism in there. It always boggles my mind that voice actors are able to create that kind of effect sitting alone in a recording studio booth knocking it out line by line.

5:00 laughing as a stress response isn't unusual Fooster. Staying in character, Jess's adrenaline spiked when she heard Jack being startled, and was immediately relieved when it wasn't anything serious. So the laugh is more like her saying "Thank Goodness nothing Bad just happened."

Does anyone ever remember being a kid and renting movies? Before you started watching, you had to get ready for it such as popping some popcorn. This is how I feel when I watch Fooster. I have to get a pinch of Red Seal, sit back, relax, and curl up to watching these videos!!!

EDIT: UPLOAD MORE! The devs did a fantastic job with the dialogue but also the body language. They really captured the body language well. For example,. when Jess first encounters Wyatt, the feeling of tension and unease was detectable in their body language alone and I think that is such an important aspect for games like this because it adds so much flavour to the interactions and enriches the experience several times over. While we're on the subject of visual details, the world building is A class. So many little details that would likely go overlooked by the regular player but to those who like to investigate and appreciate, you can really see how much work they put into things. Like the personal quarters of each crew member not only has relevant items to them on a personal level but also on a professional one. The facility feels lived in and thats so important not just for a game of this genre but any game, I feel. You want the world to feel believable.

This game blows me away. Such a unique style with it third person and there’s no running (yet?). You go exploring around and uncover the mystery. The intrigue about this game is so addicting. The environment feels so lived in!, The characterization is very good. The story is transfixing, the mystery playing out at just the right speed. Big praise to the devs for this one. I do wonder if some of these videos are actually unreliable narrators. You want to assume wyatt is telling the truth, what if all this is simply someone going nuts? If he was having a mental breakdown and projecting his symptoms onto others, and had a subconscious need to escape, he could have invented a virus are alien life to convince himself to kill everyone to "stop the spread", and hoping that he could escape even if he was taken into custody. That would be such an awesome twist if that were true. Nothing going on expect what can actually happen. The fragility of the human mind resulting in a terrifying situation which is something other than what it seems. Ohhhh I can't wait for you to finish this one!

A neat bit of information about Mars at 50:35. You can see on the wall: Internal temp 4C, about 40F (a temperature that is common on Earth in the dead of winter in places like Zurich or London. And it's INSIDE Fort Solis), external temp -72C, close to -100F (on Earth it's POLAR temperature). Mars is cold AF, people.

I have never seen such realistic dialogue and animations in a game before. At 22:00 when he finds that body, the reaction feels so genuine its crazy. Not to mention the fact that you could tell the body was frozen solid from the environment.

I think what is disconcerting is that many of the passways, corridors,stairwells remind me of the first Doom AND also first Dead Space. I just keep cringing every time he walks into those little rooms between doors and he just walks right into the dark rooms, that freaks me out. That big tunnel and having to get off n on the rail car in the dark, man that was where i thought something was going to come at him. I still dont know what to think, they kinda make it out to seem like it might be a mutant thing that some if the humans turned into after being contaminated or there is just some weird criminal enterprise or some going on and there is someone trying to cover it up.

I don’t know what happened to Wyatt, but I think it has something to do with his exposure to this “Compound 26” that the Head Botanist was working on. If it was making people sick, and he was treating those people as Chief Medical Officer, it makes sense that he may have been exposed to it as well. Or maybe he’s fully aware of what this infection, it it is one, can do and is willing to do anything necessary to prevent it from escaping Solis.

I'm gonna defend why the protagonists are so chill: They live on Mars. Death is one faceplate crack away, at all times. Panicking is an absolute death sentence in such a place, so they select and train people to be calm at all times. That is all.

Turns out the Terra company are a subsidiary of UAC. The infection is actually caused by proximity to a buried red marker, which- if activated will awaken the C'tan Deceiver deep below Mars surface. 😄

It's always funny to see movies and video games showing their protagonists fighting the winds on Mars. The pressure on Mars is less than what a consumer grade vacuum sealer can achieve. So even the highest wind speeds on Mars wouldn't feel like more than a breeze.
