Sonata Arctica is honestly the only power metal band I really got into. Always thought the singer had a great voice and they write really nice melodies with both the keyboard and guitar. This brings me back hearing this song lol

I was there in the audience...nearly 17 years ago. How time passes. "Run Away Run Away Run Away!" ♪ "Full Moon"!!!! Regarding the miscue, where the keyboardist stopped, in the studio recording, the guitarist does "shred" but here, he just played the backing chords. Maybe the vocalist kept on strumming the strings preventing the guitarist from soloing but my memory is vague in the details. The lead vocalist wrote this song and played the keyboards in the original studio recording so he does know the song back to front. Just for your information, at the end, the outro, they played an excerpt of a different song called "White Pearl Black Ocean", which is a nearly 9-minute beautiful epic! I was disappointed then that they didn't play the whole song.

Hi David, thanks for the good reaction and review. Sonata Arctica was one of the bands I listened to the most when I started listening to metal. They have great songs and also some of the absolute best ballads which maybe even you would enjoy. I hope someone will request more songs from them.

Fun fact, Tony(lead vocalist of Sonata Artica) is in a supergroup with Marko(old Nightwish bassist), along with 2 other vocalist, called Northern Kings and they do heavy metal covers of non-metal songs (such as "Kiss From A Rose" by Seal)

And I think I remember that he also performed as a guest singer with Nightwish. Among others on the song "Beauty and the Beast" if my memory does not fool me.

Also Tony is good friend of Tuomas Holopainen. He is the person who convinced Tuomas not to retire Nightwish long time ago.

Man, I don't know why they requested _Full Moon_ from this show, it was the weakest performance of the set. Something like _Misplaced_ (the opener) would have been better.

Awesome song, but quite poor performance. The singing sounds out of breath and he left all the high screams unsung. The guitar/keytar solo is amazing on record.
