The Japanese used the schools to teach the Filipinos to discover themselves as Asians for us to know the true identity of being a Filipino to wipe out American/Western influence in the Philippines. They teached Tagalog and other provincial languages depending in your region so that we can use them instead of English. They also thought us that we had same similarities of how we looked liked with our neighboring countries just like Indonesia, Vietnam, Malaysia, and Even China. The used Rizal as an example that he had a Chinese ancestry however people continued to revolt because china was being attack by the imperial japanese forces and suffering the same thing that the Filipinos are experiencing on that time.
