Royals, by Lorde. I know, I know, it's criminal. It was due to overexposure: I don't do well with overhyped stuff, it tends to push me away. It's silly, because sometimes I miss out on good stuff, like Lorde. However, I did fall in love with Team, when I heard it on the radio a few months later. Still, I only gave Pure Heroine a good listen last year - and I fell head over heels! Other artist that I grew to love is Mika. I never actually hated him, but, back in 2007/2008, I found him annoying (and maybe I was a little bit more homophobic than I'd like to admit). But then I saw him live last year and he hooked me. I'm not a huge fan of him, but he has a handful of songs that I absolutely love: Relax, Happy Endings, Rain, I See You, Talk About You and, of course, Grace Kelly (which could've been written about me, back when I didn't like him very much). My favorite is Underwater, though.

Mine: 1. Carly Rae Jepsen - Run Away With Me (dismissed it as basic electropop. revisited it during EMOTION, my god I was wrong0 2. Lorde - Green Light (Liability to an extent as well) (It seemed like pianos were a Sia thing, and it was not what I expected of Lorde) 3. The Chainsmokers - Don't Let Me Down (feat. Daya) (it's hard to resist the final drop) 4. Halsey - Roman Holiday (your review kinda helped, plus it's super catchy) 5. Lady Gaga - Venus (this is just an unsettling at first, but still awesome song... and she definitely says penis) 6. Bon Iver - Perth (i dunno. relaxing I guess?) 7. Panic! At the Disco - Vegas Lights (i dunno... the entire album was a grower on me.)

That's What Makes You Beautiful - 1D / it was fun to hate in 2012, then I gave it a chance and liked it 3. Teenage Dirtbag - Wheatus / getting past the voice was hard, but when you do it's good 4. El Scorcho - Weezer / who didn't hate this song at one point? 5. Shut Up and Dance - Walk The Moon / the music video seemed weird as hell to me but once I actually listened to the song it was good 6. Downtown - Macklemore / honestly don't know why I suddenly flipped, just did 7. Remember The Name - Fort Minor / got overplayed by my classmates, once that ended tho I liked it

Shadow moses - BMTH I bet you look good on the dancefloor - Arctic monkeys Playing god - Paramore Crushcrushcrush - Paramore Mr. Brightside - The Killers Long road to ruin - Foo fighters Knights of cydonia - Muse I used to dislike most of these songs when I listened to these bands like 8 years ago... However, when I started listening to the same genre of music again like 2 years ago, these were the songs, that I really ended up liking... With exception of Shadow moses, which I never thought that I would end up liking it, untill Happy song came out, which I really liked... KDog1265 I completely agree about smashing pumpkins but why Rush for you?

Kohler Wilcox Story time! Most of my rock music exposure was through my mom. Whenever we drove in the car, she would play the rock stations (including hard rock and alternative stations). She hated Rush due to her own preferences/experience so I guess that ended up rubbing off on me. I didn't come around to Rush until my cousin said he liked Rush. We listened to some of their songs and I eventually came around to them. Smashing Pumpkins is basically the opposite case. My mom loved them. I didn't. After a while, I started to really love them.

I honestly don’t even care for female singers, even when talented, but she’s just got something about her, kind of quirky. I don’t know what genre to put it in but music like hers and The Neighbourhood (first album), that has that slow undertone with an almost old/classic vibe that makes you feel like your falling asleep or (I have NOT but would imagine) taking heroine... *LOVE IT.* If anyone would know what to call or label it, I’d appreciate it! ☺️

You should check out 90210 by Travis. He is known for his autotune but his intent for it is not because he can't sing. He uses it stylistically. He uses it here too, giving the track a kinda robotic vibe mixed with that R&B flavour, along with some guitars flaring in too. And the featured artist gives off some nice vocals too. Just my opinion tho, but still check it out.
