Let me help you. I am an 85 year old classically trained singer with a wide range and music is my life!! Diana Ankudinova is a Cinderella story. She is a mixed race young lady with a Russian mother and an unknown "native" father. (Probably Mongolian) She was born in Arsenyev, Russia on May 31, 2003 which, is close to the Pacific Ocean, the border with China and the border with Inner Mongolia. When she was three (3) years old, relatives found her in the street with a broken collar bone in the middle of winter. None of them wanted her because they thought she was mentally defective. They sent her to a Russian Orphanage, where she stayed for two (2) years. At five (5) years of age, she was adopted by a Russian woman named Irena and this was the beginning of a remarkable journey. Because her language was so poor, her Foster Mother took her to a vocal coach and they discovered she had musical talent. She is now 17 and in the intervening twelve (12) years she has developed into a teenager with an adult singing voice which is very unusual. You correctly identified her as a Contralto with a mesmerizing voice and she sings in Russian, English, Spanish and French. She is an excellent yodeler with a vocal timbre like no other. Technically every singer produces electronic waves which one can not hear with the sound you can hear. These waves are usually produced in the Octave which each voice is most comfortable singing in, i.e bass,baritone, tenor, contralto, etc. Diana's waves include the entire spectrum of her musical range which makes the timbre of her voice so powerful, deep, rich and mesmerizing. Igor Trutoy has taken her under his wing and helped her. Most people have told the story without nearly as much detail as you did. I didn’t know she had a broken collarbone, or that she was sent to a voice coach because she couldn’t speak very well. What a fascinating story! I’m glad she triumphed over adversity the way that she did.

Hello - welcome to the wonderful world of Diana, and we are all in love - many fans will give you the details of her life - suffice to say that she now appears settled away fro the horrors of her early years. Many have said she is a contralto. If you want raw, tribal emotion you would do no worse than to watch Rechenka (Реченька) and Blizzard (Вьюга) both of which were performed on this show; the former when she was 14 (difficult to believe) and the latter 15 - both in Russian but you won't need a translation because she gives you the story herself.

Wait until you hear “Take On Me” or "Human" or "Rechenka" Even though it is in Russian you still feel the emotion behind it. I've heard her sing in Russian, English, French and Spanish so far. No matter what language it is beautiful. Her Russian fans are the BEST! Igor said in an interview later that out of respect for Diana he wanted to wait for a pause so as not to interrupt the performance, always the gentleman.

No Autotune, that is her Voice ^^ This is a TV Show for Children facing difficult Life Situations .. and Diana went thru a lot of Misery in her younger Years. From what i read she was maltreated by her alcoholic Mother and became an Orphan, then adopted by a lovely Lady that is now her Mother. Igor Krutoy actually donated Diana a free Apartment in Moscow where she now lives with her Family (when she won the Season of this Show) and will soon enter University.

She just turned 17 the end of May (I believe). She has been taking lessons since from voice coaches etc. to improve her high registers/voice. You will get recommendations for her song Rechenka (River) .. from when she was 14 (same show). Just a quick note .. song is an old Russian folk song (from what I understand). An orphan bride goes to the river .. in pagan times where living and dead meet .. to talk to her dead mother. She talks of guests, and horses at the wedding and how she has no mother, no father to speak for her. Seems that in old Russian folklore you sang a sad song at a wedding to .. ???? remove sadness? In any case you see spirits of the river in the play .. quite fun. (apologies if I don't have it exactly right but it is sometimes hard to get exact facts with Google translating)

And if you follow Crystal Children that are born with special talents I recomment Angelina Jordan - jazz prodigy, she won Norway Got Talent at age 7 singing Gloomy Sunday by Billie Holiday. You really should not niss her. Maybe see her debut on NGT or I Put A Spell On You, old blues songs from 50's that shwe recorded when she was 9 :) and also Amira Willighagen from Holland, she won Duch edition of Got Talent at 9 singing aria opera O Mio Babbino Caro which learned by herself from youtube. 📌Welcome to Diana’s world! Diana was born May 2003. 31 in Arsenyev in the Far East Russia. She didn't have a happy start in life. The woman, who gave her birth, had 12 pregnancies, only Diana survived... and she did not want Diana either, mistreated her severely and tried to drown her. Relatives found the girl with a broken collarbone on the street and took the 3-year-old girl to a children's home shortly thereafter. Only then did she find love ... from Irina Ponik. She worked as a massage therapist and treated children from the orphanage. Irina Ponik and her daughter Nastya fell in love with Diana and took her out of the orphanage and she became, as I call it, Diana's 'real mother'. Diana was adopted by her at the age of 5 and has lived in a poor but loving family ever since. She was far behind in her language development and so, on the advice of a doctor, she received singing lessons. In 2012, the family moved thousands of kilometers away, to Togliatti, because Diana did not let go of the fear, that the woman, who gave her birth, would take her away. Diana's voice and sense of rhythm were extraordinary even as a child and she won over 50 competitions in Togliatti and the surrounding area. Her confidence grew, her voice continued to develop, and Diana's stage costumes swallowed up the family budget. So, her mother completed a sewing course and has been sewing all the clothes herself since then. One day Diana was advised to take part in competitions further away, so that the other children also had a chance to win. Diana convinced with her talent and her voice in numerous national and international competitions, the Chinese competition for young artists and the competition 'Talents of Wolgaland'. She is a multiple winner of the Grand Prix of all-Russian and international singing competitions. 2011 - Gold medal in the competition for young artists in China 2014 - silver vote in the all-Russian competition 'Talents of the Volga' 2016 - Grand Prix at the international 'Crystal Gift' competition 2017 - Gold Medal at the All-Russian Youth Delphic Games 2017 - Grand Prix of the Moscow Time Festival 2017 - I have a Laureate Diploma in the 'ART PREMIUMPEOPLE AWARDS'. The next day, a huge scandal broke out on the Internet. People demanded for Diana's participation in the competition. Great reaction ! I don't think Igor was being tough ,I think he didn't want to spoil the performance so he waited for a good moment to hit the buzzer . But anyway if you like to see Diana in an even more mind boggling performance . Then react to her sing Rechenka ( the river ) .You will be just as blown away .

Igor took her under his wing...bought her family an apartment in Moscow so she could pursue her musical education. She does cooking videos as well, and on her personal channel does some wonderfully quirky things...her dancing with her pets is must see.
