That unit is a Roland GK-3 Divided Pickup. It delivers string performance data to my guitar synthesizer, the Roland’s GR-20. I have a review video online where I cover the details of that unit. Search my KZbin Channel for; "Roland Guitar Synth GR-20 - Review." Thanks for watching. - Andrew

Would it be right to call this sort of style a classical genre? Not particularly with the fancy chords, but just in general using clean tones and complex chord progressions. I often listen to and learn metal songs as that is where my interest lies, but I absolutely love writing music in this style. I just need a name for it.

This would be along the lines of Fusion / Jazz if you'd like to place it in a genre, especially since it uses modal concepts and scale changes, which is very important in those certain genres.

On the worksheet page 3 example 4. Could you you call the chord Cmaj9 #11? Seeing that you have the D note in the chord. Love your lessons! Helps me confirm my knowledge and brush up on it as well :)
