Just finished this video for a second time. Sonic Adventure 1+2 are most certainly my favorite Sonic games, and it's always cool to hear from a different perspective on things I remember fondly (this game doesn't hold up as well as I remember and I can admit that) The Chao Garden is my main reason for going back to this game now, even back when I got this on the Dreamcast, I spent most of my time there. I know it isn't for everyone but it's my favorite pet sim. Great video dude!

I appreciate the objective grasp on what some still perceive as the "clunkiest, worst, OMG THAT CAMERA" Sonic game out there. The OST is still in regular rotation for me, so it's good to hear after all these years that it holds up to fresh ears!

This has the misfortune of being the last sonic game to be worked on by co-creator Naoto Ohshima. He left Sega in 1999 after its completion due to disputes with Yuji Naka regarding the direction of the franchise.

The Sonic Adventure series is my favorite sonic series. I actually spent most of my time in the gardens. Dig the BTB series! I think you're doing great with the format, and honestly breaking a backlog at all is an achievement on it's own. Thanks Cloud!

Having played this on the Sega Dreamcast, I can say that Sonic Adventure is definitely a game that has aged in some areas while maintaining a few things that can still make it enjoyable today. 😊👍

I'm someone who doesn't really find any sense in the "aged poorly" take for games in general (unless we're talking graphics) so even with no nostalgia for Adventure 1, I very much enjoy it a lot playing it on steam in my adulthood.

For my nostalgic tastes it has to be SA2, although I've been listening to the Sonic '06 soundtrack a lot lately. Whatever you think of the game, that soundtrack is absolutely phenomenal

I really love the Adventure games, despite their problems is the 3d Sonic games I prefer, I love the characters, the stories and the fact that's fun to run around in these hubworlds and levels, I know the games aren't perfect but they are fun, it's sad Sega never came back into this style

If I make a list of top 3 retro games kept alive by fan-mods it will be: 1.-GTA San Andreas 2.- Resident Evil 4 3.- Sonic Adventure I think that is the reason Adventure still holds up, the game itself is actually fun, but fan have been making it far better and alive givin every year new interesting mods for it and that is my favorite part of adventure

I'd been avoiding the steam port of this game cuz I'd heard it's a buggy mess, but I might check it out if it's been patched with mods. never actually played a sonic game before.

I definitely recommend the mods if you go for it; even without playing the unmodded Steam version for a comparison, it just feels very solid overall. Plus it's super easy to set up thanks to the installer. I didn't mention this in the video but throughout my entire playthrough, I only encountered two glitches - and both of them were really a result of me Spin Dashing at an odd angle. I doubt you'd encounter either one unless you specifically tried to replicate them. All that to say: don't expect perfection, but the mods do get rid of a lot of annoying stuff.

A mod I would suggest adding to the Dreamcast restoration mods is the Retranslated mod for the Japanese voices. I feel like they fit the Dreamcast vibe a lot better, and the story is just better realized than in the dub. Same with SA2.

Hey lover of the banjo videos but this was very shallow. I know turn around of a long video takes a long time but the lack luster video hurt your overall brand. Still subbed hoping to see some higher quality content on the channel
