Fun fact about the past music, it uses digital samples played back through the Richo audio chip in the Sega CD

Ah. So, for anyone wondering, this means that the synthesized audio isn't desynchronized because of the audio chip being controlled by the Sega/Mega CD, separate from the framerate and different vertical blanking period.

Another thing that really triggers me is how they optimised the music for Sonic 2 but not Sonic 1, specifically the title screen. That would really have irritated me back then, with one being faster than the other.

It's the return of the 50Hz vs 60Hz comparison, woo! Also congrats on reaching and surpassing 30k subs. I like how you came back to the music test comparison, which is nicely synced like in Sonic 2. I wasn't expecting the intro demo to be in perfect sync with the two speed settings. Hooray for 50Hz when it comes to comparing loading times, only just. Was interesting to see a few unique tests for this comparison. Overall, glad to see this series come back, and looking forward to seeing Knuckles Chaotix in 50Hz vs 60Hz.

While I don't have the ntsc sega cd ver., I do have the japanese one as well as the pc version. They have their own little quirks and it's interesting stacking them against each other. The japanese case is my fave by a huge margin though, especially with all of the quotes.

Fact: On the PS1 the only difference (Besides the higher contrast) It is that there are less FPS, but they still synchronize, if you want check, I have already played the crash bandicoot games in PAL and NTSC on PS1, but they do synchronize, and I don't know if there is also synchronization on any other console but it differed frame rate.
