I appreciate very much that you gave the subs a light blue color to match the subs on the in-game tv screen.

Although Dr. Eggman had planned everything from the beginning, it was Metal Sonic who made the turnaround.

For read comments about this game I was thinking it has the worst portrayal of Amy Rose but all the mess and hatefull personality is only in the localizated version. Amy and her interactions with other characters (specially Sonic) are very different in this Japanese version (more on character and without that irritating caracterization of the international release. The American translators love Sally or what? XD

It’s mainly because of Sega’s of America’s stupid “Sonic can not have a love interest because then it would be trope-y” rule as if Sonic didn’t have Sally & Madonna ONLY IN THE US when Amy was ALREADY AN ESTABLISHED COMIC CHARACTER (not Archie, a JP comic introducing Sonic/Nikky as Amy’s Superman/Clark Kent style boyfriend before SatAM even came out) So they heavily bastardized all of the localizations and made Sonic and Amy’s relationship go to an extreme because SoJ was no longer in charge and they needed that “cool, all American attitude”. Sonic X (the Japanese version, not the 4kids one) was with the entire original Japan Sonic team and that’s the reason it has so many SonAmy moments. Since 1993, Amy was supposed to be introduced to American audiences through CD as Sonic’s love interest but again, they said it was “too weird” as if Sally, Archie & Madonna didn’t exist… guess because those were outside media? But JP Amy is overall a much more pleasant person with a more young, fiery attitude. Instead of ever responding with outright hostility, Sonic responds by being almost flustered (as confirmed by the Sonic X book, which says that Sonic does like-like Amy, but he isn’t ready to settle down and he’s too shy to actually accept any of her advances). In Japan, they’re more of the “headstrong, playful, flirty girl, meek, heroic boy trope” where instead of being outright repulsed by her, Sonic’s just sorta taken aback. In fact, in the JP version of Sonic Battle (another heavily criticized one) Sonic literally tells Rouge “Sorry, but I don’t need a girlfriend (because I already have one)” (beevean.tumblr.com/post/636519478211002368/oh-btw-regarding-that-infamous-japanese-battle since it’s hard to find). As well as that, Generations was outright shunned by Sega of Japan for being “out of character” for Sonic to physically put hands on Amy and hold her back, which is why Sega of Japan changed that scene in Sonic X Shadow generations. SEGA of Japan actually stated that Sonic putting his hand up to Amy’s face and pushing her away was out of character. (Something about Sonic not treating his friends like that? I’m sure in Japan, that kind of behavior is considered extremely rude…) paraphrased quote from SEGA of Japan.

In the first place, it's just a cute noise he makes that doesn't have a specific meaning, just like Meowth's "nya" in the Pokemon anime.
