I am PRAYING with every fiber in my body that we get a playable Super Sonic in the 3rd update. Along with all the Titan songs as Song memory tokens. But until then this mod is fantastic

This was really fun to mess around with! Controlling Super Sonic can be kinda a nightmare sometimes though, and he tends to get stuck to the ground a lot. Hopefully we'll be able to transition between normal gameplay and flight at some point!

Well, yeah... it's difficult to control him because the game never made him for free roam. If sonic frontier developers were to add super sonic to free roam, they would have to make a new mechanic system for him.

Call me crazy, but I think this is coming in the final Update 3. In both updates you need to clear challenges to unlock something as your reward. Update 1 = Extreme Mode and Power Boosting for Cyberspace stages. Update 2 = Spin Dash and New Game +. Update 3 is giving us new playable "characters". We know Tails, Knuckles and Amy will be playable but what if by completing the story will grant us access to a playable Super Sonic for the Open Zones? I think it's definitely possible as this video shows us and they know what the fans wants.

you also get a Sonic with a Crown for collecting and beating everything in the Open Zone so it's very well possibly, only question is will it, and I have my doubts, would be amazing tho having a 3D Sonic game with the Spin Dash, Sonic's friends, and Super Transformion in one

Yeah, I can see why they didn't give us SS in Free Roam, not only is he busted, but he also would break the game. I do hope they give us a "nerfed" version in the future however.

I don't see why it would have to be nerfed. It's super sonic, it's supposed to be busted, nerfing it takes away the entire point. And the way it'll probably be unlocked is by the time you meet all the requirements you'll practically have already beaten the entire game. Like the spin dash unlock requirement. It'd be a tool purely for after you've already completely everything so you can't use it to cheese

Compare to the other sonic games. you barely could use super sonic ability to fly because making super sonic fly make sonic skip the whole entire stage. And since this is game has free roam and combat its a perfect way to display super sonic.

This is a mod of the PC version of the game. Normally you can't play Super Sonic in the open world.
