If you open battery on its own channel, you can simply route the MIDI from whichever Drum Rack you fancy to it, freeing up the that space in the D-rack for something else perhaps. This is also nice because you can chuck a MIDI note tools in front of the instance of Battery and then you dont have to worry about shifting the MIDI in any other way that turning a convenient knob at the start of your channel. You can also automate note repeats, velocity randomisation, arps etc. Quite a bit more power in doing it that way I feel.

If you put the External Instrument device on all the other pads you can configure them as separate outputs, and then you can also rename the pads according to your drum sounds (easier for pattern programming and editing)

new update allows you to go to 64 pad mode and play all of them on screen after you map the receive play! makes it just a tad nicer
