Garrulous64 no. In one of the live streams, Arron Weber said that they didn’t have Hypersonic because they didn’t want to copy DBZ. They didn’t EXACTLY say it, but they gave a hint about the DBZ series.

The Dark Lizardon X No, they just don't want to make the old forms useless in an endless powercreep like DB. In my opinion Hyper is OK because that's only 2 forms and it maintains Super Sonic's usefullness since Hyper is much harder to achieve.

Except Super Sonic is comparable with DB to begin with, and who says reiterating explanations is the same as dodging a question? Not everyone can find these interviews. In fact, it took me a while to discover why Hyper Sonic didn't get reused in other games. Finding an explanation from an interview that happened years ago can be difficult, so its best to reaffirm explanations years later for clarity's sake.

I agree with wanting to see a Sonic Racing game without cars. It would be great. Imagine they have different stats like Sonic has 8/10 run and give him the drop dash where as Tails has maybe like 5/10 but can fly up to areas and maybe it could be a small short cut. Same for Knuckles but maybe have Knuckles to have a speed of 6/10 but let him break through walls. Then have Shadow like Shadow but maybe a 9/10 but maybe add a Chaos ability likes in the Shadow The Hedgehog game where he turns blue. Then Metal Sonic with 10/10 speed but not get too op moves. But yea. I would love a foot racing game. It would be awesome.

Apparently, the reason why Hyper Sonic hasn't appeared in any Sonic game other than Sonic 3 & Knuckles is because the power of the Super Emeralds were syphoned when Sonic turned into Hyper Sonic, so that's why the Super Emeralds are all black in Sonic Mania. I'm probably wrong about this.

There are TWO versions of It Doesn’t Matter. The first is the SA1 version, used in GHZ Act 1, and the other one is the SA2 version, used in GHZ Act 2. I prefer the SA1 version, but I think you prefer the SA2 version.

Oh garr they did say something about hyper sonic. They said they didn't want to be too similar to DBZ after the already existing Super Sonic (hyper sonic being a next level super form that is). They didn't wanna get sued, especially considering their financial situation at the time, so they never brought it back.

The backstory is that the phantom ruby at the end of the game corrupted sonic’s mind and made him a godly being and he changes the whole world into sonic world and all the citizens into sonics. The people you play as are not sonic, they are random guys who were turned into sonics who are trying to save the real sonic from the phantom sonic’s power using the seven chaos sonics

I know how to play as 2 Sonics (Needed dev menu and no buyed encore mode) Need to go in no save file as tails or knuckles then in dev menu go to cutscenes then go to angel island then do rescue mighty and ray But if you don't have encore mode then 2 Sonics will be rescued and then as tails or knuckles go to end of angel island AND boom! You play as 2 Sonics!
