Bruh that is not at all who Shadow is or why he exists 🤣 Shadow's creation had nothing to do with Sonic, it happened YEARS AND YEARS before Sonic was even born. Shadow was made to help Maria and others like her.

Feels like Shadow and Amy would start talking and Sonic would start getting that bizarre curiosity about it. Turns out Tails would be right, and Shadow and Amy get along surprisingly well, mainly because Shadow is actually a deep, caring person, and Amy has empathy, so she naturally feeds into Shadow's desire for closure and validation. Sonic takes it as "they're dating" and gets super obsessed. Knuckles takes it as an opportunity to prank Sonic. Hilarity ensues. Shadow and Amy never actually go anywhere with their relationship, but they get along so well, they become, basically, best friends. Sonic and Knuckles, simultaneously, cultivate this goofy rivalry dynamic that cements their friendship. And then there is tails, reveling in this spectacle of companionship from the sidelines, like the scrunkly hermit he is. Main thing I like about the concept of Shad-Amy is that their color theory complements one another. Shadow with Black and Red, and Amy, as Pink is just a combination of Red and White. It's almost as if they were designed to form this dynamic, but no one actually went for it. Missed opportunity. But then again, Shadow and Amy are all over the place. Sega never knows what to do with them. They wouldn't be perfect romantically, but definitely best friends, the way I see it. Sega never seems to realize when they have lightning in a bottle. It doesn't have to be anything big. E-102 Gamma wasn't anything big, it was short, sweet, and amazing. That kind of thing. Like a one-off thing.

Honestly I think Sonic would be surprised, but supportive. Like, from my view, he does care about Amy, but not in a romantic way. Basically he doesn't want to date her but, like a good friend, he wants her to be happy. And if she'd be happy with Shadow, and Shadow would be happy with her, Sonic would be super supportive. Then again I also headcanon Sonic as aroace so maybe that has something to do with it.

Not to mention I tend to go with how characters act rather than what it says in manuals, and Sonic is definitely not acting like someone who's in love with someone but too shy to admit it most of the time. Like, the one exception I can think of right now is Sonic Battle, a bit, because Sonic always seems nervous and is always stuttering when Amy shows up.

Sonic would be _relieved_ to have Amy stop pining for him, because he isnt attracted to her and only sees her as a friend. He might be at most slightly concerned at their age gap but we don't know Shadow's mental age as an artificial being nor how 50 years in cryo stasis counts for official age, and SonAmy is already a smaller gap than my own parents. Silver would suddenly be like "So _that_ is where I came from!" Amy has a naive and childish crush on Sonic because he is d hero and shares her species. Shadow is also a hero and shares her species, but has shown much greater levels of emotional attachment and reciprocation to those few he lets get close to him while Sonic shows near equal general warmth and friendliness to someone he just met today as he does to his lifelong friends, and only mocks Eggman any harder than Knucklehead because of the former's continued unrepentant antagonism. If Eggman turned face, Sonic would immediately forgive him.
