It could be that the even smaller Kongman people claim exist is the King Kong Pocketeer, which is loosely styled after Donkey Kong but without the Nintendo license (so Tomy called it "King Kong" instead even though I'm not sure whether they got the King Kong license from Universal Studios) which is really just the Cat'n'Mouse Pocketeer with new artwork.

😭 I had the Sonic one as a kid!! I think it was mums before mine? The batteries exploded at some point and I have no memory of how it actually worked, until now. I used to just push the ball bearing about the course and had a blast. Thanks for covering this! Blast to the past!

One of the kids in my first school brought this game in for the last day before summer. The vague memory sat in the back of my mind ever since, it's nice that I finally know the name of it.

OW! Why do you hit me with nostalgia of something under the rug? I had one of these.

Wow, this unlocked a memory I completely forgot about. I had that exact Sonic Kong Man toy when I was a child. I remember the day I got it, I was adamant about taking it to a fireworks show for some reason, and I remember just being sat in the back of the car analysing every little detail on it lol

I had one of these, it was my absolute prized possession - brilliantly I never played Sonic until about 10 years later as we had a NES, but played the hell out of this.

I forgot I had this toy until this video. Crazy nostalgia. The yellow swinging thing broke off and was in a trinket box for years after i got rid of it.

I did some digging, and the company behind these also made those water-filled pachinko type things. Those, I _do_ remember; my grandparents used to keep a few around the house for when we (or any of my many cousins) came to visit.

You are brilliant! while watching your Screwball Scramble video, it made me think of a memory when I was very young and in my local Woolworths, looking at this very sonic toy!. never got one but it's a memory that stuck with me :D.

Two Ashen vids in a row making me feel old as hell !!! 👴 first Screwball Scramble and now this! i had both versions, Kong Man and this, I remember getting shouted at for playing it in my room late at night because of the noise it makes 😂 But Im still glad I grew up in times when toys like this were amazing! we didnt need ipads, the internet and digital tv!
