Just got here in the game. Been on this boss for 3 hours and still haven't beat it. 6 minutes of repetitive waiting just to make one minor mistake and have to do it all over again

This boss really sucks. Took me more than an hour. Best advice I could give you is to save up your chaos powers for the second phase. To avoid the spinning move Eggman does in his last phase, use bullet to avoid falling down and use the clone ability to beat him quickly.

this horrible boss design. One wrong move and suddenly you gotta wait 6 goddamn minutes once more. This is not hard because its a fair fight. its because if you make one tiny mistake you suddenly fall into a bottomless pit and have to wait so much time to redo everything again.

I'm pretty sure they are reusing the Sonic Advance Series Secret Boss Treatment, you have to clear all stories with all Chaos Emeralds, and then go back to Sonic's Story so you can fight the secret boss

The fact that he's not frantically turning around to face Sonic in phase 1 is jarring. He's just attacks, then stands still. [It feels like the Delerium fight in The Binding of Isaac back when its sprite wasn't animated.]

Thanks for this. I was wondering what I was doing wrong. Turns out if you do the multi-sonic emerald move first thing right at the start of phase 2, he starts doing this saw-whip attack that destroys the ground leading to very cheap deaths, but I noticed in your video you can completely skip him doing that move if you get a few hits in first and THEN use multi-sonic.

Actually his move selection is kinda randomized, so that might be what happened here. He doesn’t follow a super set pattern.

Here's some tips that helped me for phase one use the yellow emerald to slow down time if you're having trouble hitting the blue missiles and for phase 2 I suggest using the blue emerald to the clones to hit eggman without needing to wait for his slam attack

if i could give you a bro hug i would i just had about had it with sonic games as of current "especially frontiers dlc 3" i had to throw the game out cause of no checkpoints with all those bosses including wyvern. then this game came out, went fine up until the point, and again no checkpoints , then the sweeping arms, then i see your video using avatar skipping that sequence...was about to throw the game out, already turned it off, out of disc tray and in case to be discarded..and wanted to watch someone else finish it for me "you" then i see you can skip it the hardest part with what you did...ty

maybe it's just me, but I'm tired of the giant eggrobot being reused over and over. This is still cool, fon't get me wrong. It's just always the classic final boss. No metal sonic race, or big arms or maybe a giant red or dragon metal robot. There's lots of other final bosses to pick. Or do a mecha sonic and have eggman absorb the master emerald like in the movie.

This boss is okay right up to the final spinning attack. The momentum is just weird and the uneven floor / collapsing ground feels really cheap when it kills you. I like how you avoided this entirely. The first stage is quite easy when you get used to it, but incredibly annoying having to keep replaying it over and over again to try the second stage.
