Coincidentally at the same time, they were taking feedback for a character spinoff, and since Shadow won polls and is a generally much darker character, he was given guns instead of Sonic (who's generally Hero aligned)

This was amazing, dude. The attention to detail and genuine care they’ve put into these movies has always stood out (shockingly) and it’s no different here. I love how it looks like it’ll have such a genuine emotional core and that they’re treating these stories with actual gravity. Really feels like a passion project. I think this movie will hit a billion, Sonic made over $300 million and Sonic 2 made over $400 million and that was during the beginning and tailend of the pandemic where many theaters were still closed and lockdowns were still in placed in many places. The Sonic movie are probably the best video game movie adaptations we've ever seen, fun for the whole family.

I love the chao entertainment arcade plaza. I know some purists may be upset about Gerald Robotnik being alive, and "breaking game lore," but I think it could be interesting to see where they're going with this twist, and obviously they can't follow SA2's plot exactly, and it's kinda nice to see they're making a new storyline in the movie canon.

Honestly to me, I adored the heck out of this trailer 🎉. This is like the tenth time I've seen it through various video reactions, and it keeps getting better. From the basic journey of Sonic 1, to the great bar that was set up on Sonic 2, Sonic 3 is the culmination of the incredible journey and first trilogy ever of the blue blur on the big screen. These movies are crown jewels to me as a fan, and I cannot wait for what they're ging to have in store for Sonic 3 🎉🎉. December, bring it on!!

I love reminding myself how this became a trilogy against all odds. From a terrible first look to releasing right before the pandemic, the movie team not only turned the first movie around, but the entire Sonic series as we know it. And now they've made a third freaking movie.
