Sonic 06: This Aquatic Base Mod is Insane!

RIP, I died 3 times. Was crazy to see a mach speed section in aquatic base. Also seeing Silver throw Blaze was pretty cool.

Honestly, this mod reminds me alot of my idea for a Sonic game where all the characters team up to Infiltrate EggmanLand to stop Eggman. Each character having their own unique playstyles which allows them to go different ways to get to center. Not only that but there would be "Backup" Characters who come later to help and "Infiltrated" characters which are those who are already in the base but at a different place. Not only that but sometimes you'd split up into smaller groups which you could find more routes only those specific characters can go. Also depending on which characters are at the Start, Backup and Infiltrated, you'd face off against different bosses and a different final boss.

That idea is awesome. Though I guess some people may be annoyed at a platformer only taking place in one location, seeing as how that's a criticism given to Super Mario Sunshine.

Yooooo that mach speed section seems like it'd be a really cool little gameplay segment after the egg wyvern fight that would lead into the final cutscene for Sonic's story. Imagine that mach speed section, but with the base crumbling down with explosions going off and everything as you're speeding through it, and instead of an end goal ring, you would go through the same door that Sonic is seen exiting in the final cutscene and the game would seamlessly transition into that cutscene. To top it all off you could have "His World" playing in the background during the whole segment. Basically, think of a more badass version of Terminal Velocity act 2 from Sonic Colors. I seriously hope that when ChaosX gets to doing the story for P-06, he does stuff like this as well as adding the super hard mode levels as a whole to the game.

Ah yes, back with Sonic 06. What a (glitchy) game but fun to play. It's such a shame that SEGA stayed on this failure and didn't want to "fix this mess". To me, Sonic 06 has a great soundtrack and some cool features like being able to play three different characters in three different stories, day/night cycle. PS3 could have been better optimized but at least, I can play DLCs while I don't know how to do that on Xenia :/ It could have been backward compatible at least on Xbox Series X... Being said, Happy Easter to those who celebrate this and enjoy this chill content. 😉

It was supposed to come to Xbox One and Series X|S for backwards compatibility. That unfortunately didn't happen, but we did get the game relisted on the Xbox store for 360. $4.99 is not a bad price tbh.

this was hard. I did all the super hard levels without patches and remembered raging and it took me a few hours to do all the stages and secrets. I think the creator said they're nerfing sonic's stages just a bit when the shadow stages drop
