Not really. Agreed with it being like Adventure - specifically Adventure 1. But it has more in common with the Genesis games. Heavily being built around using the physics and exploration. You can see the multiple pathways. Higher pathways are the fastest but the hardest to get to and maintain on. Lower the pathways you go; the slower they are. Hilltop has this on full display the most. Metal Sonic is the only one with the boost and its not as overpowered as in the boost style games. It burns through rings really quickly (too quickly imo)

This looks amazing and the speed is great (my eyes try to keep up lol.) One thing I've noticed is fangame stages normally allow you to "skip" too many parts. A jump takes you waaaayy too far for me. Then again, I didn't design it and I'll take what I can get. This is so smooth and the tech is fluid. Great job

Maybe jumps are too powerful but they designed the levels perfectly around how the characters move so it's not like it's unbalanced or anything.

this is a sonic game blueprint i made Plot: Eggman is finally prepared to put his ultimate plan into action. Now Sonic was doomed and Eggman land would finally become a reality. Cut to Angel Island where the Resistance has come together to celebrate destroying the last of Eggman’s forces and Sonic’s birthday. All of Sonic’s friends have managed to come. Of course in the middle of the party the mad doctor stages his return. He sends massive armies to attack the island distracting Sonic and his friends. Knuckles is reluctant to go and feels like the Master Emerald is in danger and quickly rushes to the shrine followed by Sonic. Both of them believed Eggman was distracting them so he could steal the Master Emerald. When they reached the shrine they found Metal Sonic flying towards them. This wouldn’t have been a problem but Metal Sonic had a chaos emerald in his chest powering him. Sonic and Knuckles proceeded to fight Metal Sonic knowing that Eggman couldn’t get past them because they were in front of the entrance to the shrine. Little did they know Eggman went through a secret passage that he discovered in some ancient texts. He travels to the Master Emerald and uses the chaos emeralds. The one in Metal Sonic was a fake. By the time Knuckles and Sonic arrived it was too late. The air crackled as a portal was opened. A purple and red echidna with black eyes flew through. When Eggman had been in Limbo he had discovered an Echidna named Set. Set relayed it’s story to Eggman. In ancient times before even the Master Emerald existed lived Set. He was a worthy spirit and was carefree. He had been blessed with the power of Chaos though he did not know it. He had been attracted to an island in the middle of the sea. He did not know why. On this island he discovered 7 Emeralds of great power. The chaos emeralds. Set knew these Emeralds had the power chaos and understood that they had been used for great evil in the past. He decided to use his power to create a new source that could neutralize the power of these emeralds. He created a large Emerald using his own power. He called it the Master Emerald. This Emerald caused the island to rise into the sky. He decided to name it Angel Island. Whenever greedy people would try to use the chaos emeralds he used the power of the Master Emerald to neutralize their power. But he discovered that the Master Emerald could also increase the power of the chaos emeralds. He realized with that much power he wouldn’t need to use the Master Emerald anymore. He could defend Angel Island by himself. But he became drunk in his power and in response the master emerald stopped responding to him. He was no longer worthy. He became enraged and vowed to take over the world with the chaos emeralds. But his son Knuckles used the chaos emeralds to send his father to Limbo. His brother Nocturnus became sad and angry at what his brother had done. He vowed to oppose his brother and never spoke to him again. Knuckles understood that Set would return and he foretold a prophecy of a hero who would defeat Set once and for all. He painted a mural depicting the battle in the shrine of the master emerald. His brother Nocturnus formed the Nocturnus clan and Knuckles formed the Knuckles clan and they would always fight for the centuries to come. Set freed the Eggmans using something he made while trapped in Limbo. The phantom ruby. Set also told Eggman of ancient texts about the Master Emerald he had hidden and told Eggman how to free him. Set then fought Sonic who sensed things were dire and while Sonic distracted Set Knuckles snatched the chaos Emeralds from Eggman. Sonic became Super and defeated Set who was still weak from his time in Limbo. Set was injured and fled. Sonic tried to go after him but the Master Emerald sensed Set and neutralized the chaos emeralds thus transforming Sonic back into his regular form. The chaos emeralds then were scattered across the globe Eggman panicked and tried to run away with the Master Emerald but it was released from his grip by Knuckles and it shattered. Knuckles decided to look for the pieces of the Master Emerald deciding that restoring it would tell them more about this Set character. Sonic found Tails and they decided to go looking for the Emeralds in order to defeat Set again. G.U.N. learned about this incident through Rouge the Bat who eavesdropped on Sonic and Tails. G.U.N. sent Shadow and Rouge to find the chaos emeralds. Sonic traveled to different locations. Eggman had his armies also go looking for the Emeralds instructed by Set. Set also said that Eggman was to get the pieces of the Master Emerald in order to bring power back to the chaos emeralds. Knuckles was shown visions of Set when finding the pieces of the emeralds. Sonic and Tails found the first 2 Emeralds but were confronted by Shadow and Rouge. Shadow fought Sonic and Rouge sneaked to get the emeralds sonic and tails had. Rouge successfully got the emeralds but they were snatched by Eggman who retreated. Knuckles relayed his news about Set to Sonic and Tails. Learning this only strengthened their resolve to find the Emeralds. At this point Eggman had found 2 emeralds of his own as well. Shadow had one of his own too discovered by and given to him by Rouge. This left 2 more to be desired. Shadow upon learning that Eggman stole the Emeralds began destroying some of Eggman’s new bases looking for the emeralds Shadow discovered that Eggman had rebuilt a base on the ARK and used his chaos control to travel there where he destroyed the base. At the same time Sonic discovered this through Rouge and Tails used the Tornado to fly him sonic and Knuckles there, because Knuckles felt pieces of the master emerald there. Shadow discovered another Chaos Emerald on the moon base set up there by Gerald Robotnik. But Shadow had to fight through G.U.N. forces that were stationed there. They were using the Emerald to build a weapon and knew shadow would try to stop them so they located the construction on the moon base built by Gerald Robotnik. And Shadow finally realizes that G.U.N. was using him the whole time. But now there was only one emerald left to find. Upon traveling back to Earth Sonic found a glow coming from the Gaia Temple? Sonic Tails and Knuckles returned there and Knuckles sensed the last piece of the master Emerald as well as the chaos emerald. They retrieved the Emerald and the last piece of the Master Emerald and returned to Angel Island to restore the Master Emerald. Shadow returns to Angel Island as well and hastens to help Sonic. Upon reaching the Island they discovered Eggman and Set waiting for them. Sonic and Shadow tried to fight but they lost and their chaos emeralds were taken away from them. At the same time Knuckles restored the Master Emerald but Set re-awakens the chaos emeralds Set then uses the Emeralds to transform into his super form where he turned completely black. Set then betrays Eggman declaring that only he could take over the world. Knuckles stands helpless not able to do anything, and when he is about to lose hope the Master Emerald gives him a vision showing the true power of the chaos emeralds. It is at this point Sonic and Shadow re-awaken and become hyper in a flash of light. They had proven themselves worthy and fought the now immensely powerful Set. They won and peace was restored.
