On this day in 1965 {February 17th} Sonny and Cher performed "Baby Don't Go" on the ABC-TV program 'Shindig!'... Six months later on August 21st it entered Billboard's Hot Top 100 chart; eventually it peaked at #8 and spent 12 weeks on the Top 100... Originally released in 1964 but failed to make the national charts; after the success of "I've Got You, Babe" it was re-released and entered the Top 100 in August 1965... And on October 11th, 1965 it peaked at #1 {for 2 weeks} in Canada...

What a pair who would ever thought....MY GOD THEY ARE UNFORGETABLE I found this record in my Great Uncle and Aunt Winnies basement..I had a great tine..always did cause I was spoiled at 5 yrs old and got to stay up w/adults (truth be known I out dance and stay awake the longest...YEA ME lol!!!
