In the opening scene of the episode you can see that Mizuho has been crying. The entirety of the song washes over us as we watch Nozomi’s funeral and how her passing has affected Mizuho and Nagara. We’re left with the image of Nozomi’s overwhelming optimism as they plan to return home. Simply beautiful.

I think that not explaining almost anything was the best choice, because it let open everything to interpretation... it doesn't put any limits in what and how you understand... and that adds a lot of value. Specially in a work with so many symbolism and topics. It's like a painting.

one of my friends, who was also a classmate, passed away this year unaliving himself. it was a very sudden death, we learned about it in class while preparing for masters degree entry exams. when i watched this episode, the whole anime started resonating with what we were living. the feeling of being suddenly out of the world, on a different timeline, knowing the life is still going on outside but being stuck together in that nonsense. everyone coping in a different manner, immersing themselves into work, isolating, being incapable of staying alone, lashing out on others, wanting to control everyting searching, trying to understand, sadness, anger, frustration. and finally gathering his and our memories, organizing the funeral and more or less letting go to return back to our timeline. sorry that was a lot haha, but it suddenly made sense to me

What an incredibly moving song. Even if you detach the anime's scene and meaning from it, the composition is such an amazing rollercoaster of emotions. The way her voice drags and fades up and down is gripping, and at the end the way the horns feel like they are desperately struggling to move along the progression. To me that's representing Nagara and Mizuho. They feel so much pain and sorrow, but have to find a way to swallow it down and move forwards. Seriously I'm so in love with this track and show.

This series was about coming to age and the director also i remember clearing this out in a interview if i dont mistaking, just on the first episode i remember that scene where the characters were trapped on the school with some kind of dark space surrounding them and unable to get back to reality i could interpretate that like we feel lost once we get to cetain age coming to actually having to think what we are gonna do with our lifes our "path" you could call it, such an metaphorical way to illustrate it at least that was my way of seeing it of course this series touches so much more themes and its pretty profound. To some degree gave me vibes of tatami galaxy anotoher amaizing anime, sunny boy is not the kind of series that serve you in silver plate all the plot , messages and characters but its worth so much the effort on paying attention to every detail and dialog, loved the anime and i feel this is gonna age so well and became an cclasic.

It's always here. We speak with our hearts, even when we can't find each other. I changed because you were there In this small corner of the world. There's a miracle that leads me to a baby's first tears. Can you see it? (Instrumental) If I listen carefully, I can hear your lovely voice. It's as if you were here. I feel really lonely, but The words you said to me (you) Will never (ever) disappear (forever) in the light. (Hope) (Instrumental grand finale)❤️😭🎶
