Sons of Angels are a Norwegian Rock Band from 1990. They released their first self titled album in 1990 on May 11. They weren't very well known but their first record managed to sell over 150 000 copies. They had a bit of success with the album's single and first track - "Cowgirl" - they also made a music video of that song. They returned in 2001 with a 2nd album - "Slumber With The Lion". No longer together if i am right :(

I had this tape way back when it came out in 1990. They were a good band. Unfortunately though, they were one of those bands who came out at the wrong time. All those new bands (at the time) who had just released their debut albums between 1990 - 1992 (like Sons of Angels, Trixter, Nelson, Shooting Gallery, Wildside, etc) had no idea that their fate was pretty much sealed when the grunge bands devoured them in 92 /. 93. Glad to see the video lives. It's been many years since I've seen it.

No man,Crush 40 are a Japanese American rock band originally known as Sons of Angels, that was made to create music for the SEGA arcade racing game NASCAR Rubbin' Racing (known as NASCAR Arcade in the Americas.) They have released two albums as of now, and are one of the more notable bands employed by Sega to play music for the Sonic the Hedgehog series. Most of their contributions are songs for the various games in this series. But this "Sons Of Angels" come from Norway...first album in 1990.

It took me over a decade to find a (cassette) copy of this album/song. Nobody's ever heard of them, and the tape I recorded off the radio wasn't very good. Overall, a good album, but a few songs i didn't like. Couldn't find these guys ANYWHERE. I listened to them until i burned out on it.

at that point hard rock was losing "hard" and became just fm-rock,highly accepted by radio and mums....that's why it was killed by grunge.....and by the way,i love melodic rock!

The new bands are nothing like the 80's. The 80's rocked whole lotta harder! We need new bands which eventually can play. Many of the bands of this new wave are just posers and can't play shit. Crazy Lixx new album will rock hard though. Their new guitarist And Lee Dawson has contributed a lot to Crazy Lixx. Thier new album will definitely be superior to everything else coming out of this wave!

I remember buying SOA's self-titled album on cassette back in the day. I may have listened to it once all the way through, and pretty much every song was forgettable to me. Nothing really stood out for me. They sounded about as generic as the other bands that got signed to major labels at the tail end of hair metal's popularity. Granted, that scene had some great bands when it was just getting off the ground, but towards the end, it was churning out a lot of crap.

Have to clean up the business side of the industry first. They got a bunch of Hair bands back together, but it's a bad contract all around. The bands are f*ckin' screwed, but they don't admit it. Don't expect the fun music out of them much.
