Give Skaven many Doom-Curse & Murder-Joy from Horned Rat. So speak-say Grey Seer. He speak-say “Always Smart-Dumb to bring-carry more-more warp stone for big fight-fight”. Yes-Yes! That Little Man Crusher that isn't GW is actually way better than the GW ones I think so I love to see him on the Table. Josh, when you declare your attacks I am pretty sure you have to declare where all your attacks are going before making them because a unit's attacks are considered to be happening all at once, I don't know if you did it off camera but having killed the HellPit then seemingly allocating the rest of your attacks to the other unit seems like you took the extra information you had to benefit. Just something to try and avoid in the future IMHO. Great Game, Love to see Skaven, not so much Gargants but it was still a good game.

Loved the bat rep but I can’t help but question how to beat giants, they seem very oppressive

Definitely a head scratcher, wish my local group had a SoB player to practice more against them. Either more distraction rats or just more firepower and hope for the best. Still, there is something fun about swarming giant models that just dish out pain.

Speaking from experience at my LGS, they can be very problematic. I have beaten them with Ogors as mortal wounds and high damage helps knock them down quciker. If your army lacks these things or is very squishy, shooting and possibly spells can help. :)

Big damage things in AOS tend to have either high hit req or low rend ( and there are some mortal wounds stuff mostly on Ogors and spells ). Mortal Wounds, and low rend mostly dosen't do much due to poor AC and high HP of giants, so you should aim for low rend high damage things. And you in 99 % of matches will have more models than giants player, so using more low model per unit detachments for blocking/ taking points is always good idea. Thing is, there is a reason why giants were and still are very strong in AOS meta and that reason might be low amount of strong range options like you have in W40k ( and why factions with strong range options in AOS even that are consider currently ,, weak '' like Kharadron are doing ok or great against giants - LARGE WALLS OF MEAT MAKE GREAT SHOOTING PRACTICE.

Focus on one giant until it's dead. Repeat. Not as simple as that in reality, but that's the thing to aim for.

Giants are very good, but get shut down Vs some armies. They often go 3/5 at tournaments and normally have a strong positive win rate but rarely win them overall.

Those giants are super cool. It really feels like there are huge monster crashing into the lines. If I ever do AOS I am going with the Sons of Behemat.

They definitely felt like that, they are super thematic. Plus there are so few models to make an army it really lets you spend time customizing and painting them which is cool. There are alot of really cool conversions for giants people have done if you search around for inspiration.

15s in and I love to see Skaven, but Stormvermin are way too overused. Wish Skaven's options were more abundantly seen. But AOS is AOS right now. Maybe the next GHB will fix it. :P

Agreed, I actually don't play them often in my home games for that reason. I prefer swarmy builds but their power levels are not so great but they are crazy fun and my opponents usually get a kick out of mowing down dozens of rats per turn lol.

Unfortunately I am not that dashing man. I do apparently look like alot of people. Fun story on that, when I was a younger man I was going through basic training in the US Army, there was another trainee that I looked like apparently. On our graduation day we looked so similar even at a distance we confused his family and they recorded me through most of the graduation ceremony LOL.

My friends and I have a time-saving house rule--whenever somebody plays SoB, their opponent just picks up all of their models and we go play video games. It's elicited about the same win rate without having to roll all of those pesky dice...All jokes aside though, awesome batrap!

You can still teleport to a Gnawhole that was smashed to rubble btw. The ability to do that is on the entrance Gnawhole and only targets another Gnawhole with it, no scenery rules on it required.

@@event.cruises Q: If the scenery rules for an Awakened Wyldwood can no longer be used (e.g. because of Smash To Rubble), do any rules that interact with them stop working? For example, ‘Places of Power’ and ‘From the Woodland Depths’. A: No. Is the official Core rules FAQ. It's basically the same as for Gnawholes. The teleport abilities can still target the smashed terrain pieces, because they don't seize to be "Awakened Wyldwoods" in this example. Back to the Gnawholes, if the target Gnawhole got smashed, it's a one way ticket. You can't use it to teleport back, because the rules to initiate the teleport got stripped.

Seemed like the giant player got to change rules and decisions in this game. Forgets to act in order but still got to go back and attack,declares a charge but when he sees that he’s going to block his king,he changes his mind and doesn’t make the charge. Are these AoS rules,or just plain rules abuse? I’ve not played AoS yet,so maybe this is just part of the game I’m not familiar with

I'm assuming you're referring to the pick up and throw that Josh forgot, in which the order there didn't matter at all since no one cares about 1-2 clan rats one way or the other and they were dead to battleshock regardless. And yes you can decide to not charge after making a roll if you contemplate the result. Besides these are meant to be friendly games for entertainment purposes, not Competitive. So short of actual blatant cheating, a few blunders or whoopsies isn't a big deal.

Josh - camera and beard guy is like your favourite uncle. Close to no negativy, always bending game to be fun for both players, making tons of jokes and loud laughs. Battle reports with him should be treated as a stress relief ( it helps me ), and if you want more ,, serious ''' ( there's always fun and laughs no matter who is in video ) games from MWG i recommend videos that feature Skarri ( he is more W40k player, but still it shows that he is tournamnet player even when AOS isn't his main game) or Steve who both have alot of tournament experience. Vault also feature more of videos and guides that can help learn AOS or other tabletop games.

I try to think of the luck outside of the individual game. Sometimes you slay rolls, sometimes you get slain by the rolls. If you play Skaven you can sometimes experience both on a single action lol.
