It would make world feel alive and it would show us progress, cannibals made as a society and as a "thinking being" since events happening in "the forest"

I'm surprised that you didn't make the connection between the 3D printed red mask and Dr. Matthew Cross aka the Red Man from the first game. He was an object of fear and adoration for the cannibals, to the point that if you covered yourself in the same red paint. Normally hostile cannibals would (usually) become passive. The red mask in Sons of The Forest seemingly has a similar effect. Likely the owner of the bunker (Probably Timmy because one of the first things he used the 3D printed for was to re-create his old action figure) is using the red mask to move around the new Island(?) unmolested. He did spent a lot of time with the Red Man before his demise, he would have gotten to see the red paint in action.

And digging might not be building related, it seems like he was uncovering the bunker door. The shovel could also be a means to dig up buried items

The base stuff looks really interesting to me. I never really bothered to make a base in the Forest after my first beautiful creation was destroyed. In this what it looks like is that your base gets partially wrecked but the skeleton of it remains. So rather than having to build something from scratch you can patch it up again. I always felt kind of forced to play Nomad style in the Forest and never really went in depth into the base building.

The Crossbow is actually a Ravin R26 or R29 With the predator camo. It's unloaded on the screen but the limbs are definitely in the loaded position. It's also only loadable with a built in winch in the handle since it has over 500 lbs of pressure on the string. Looks great though, exactly like the real thing. Its also completely safe to carry a loaded crossbow around all day, not for multiple days but all day is fine.

I’ve just finished The Forest....and wow! That last segment in the research centre had me suspended outside myself. It was such an interesting contrast to the grind of the outdoors. I can’t wait for the second game. I hope we get to scale mountains this time. I was a little disappointed after eventually making it to the snowy biome in my warm suit only to find I couldn’t climb the mountain. Also, does anyone know what the eye in the yacht window was all about? I’m hoping for plenty of secrets in the second game also. Maybe we can use the shovel to dig for buried treasure?

I may have a pretty good idea what The Mouth mutant could do. Of course i could be wrong but i know myself a littel bit about game design. Because of the big scream from it at the end and it does not look like it has any good way of attacking its proaply somthing i like to call, Live Security Systems or screchers when im feeling edgy. They are a typ of enemy that has a supporting roll. It patrols an area that is of high importance and alarms the big hitters, or the blind ones, if an intruder appears and informing them of the location. Its a neat littel tool you can use to change up enemy encounters and how the player has to interact with the enemy. Because just hitting it would set the alarm of. Thats also propaply why the player uses a taser in that scene. Shocking it and then giving it the rest would ensure of desposing a big threat safly. Cant scream with you body-mouth thingy if you cant move after all. ps. im sorry for my horribel english, not my native tounge.

Two things I interpreted differently: 1) near the start you mention the snow as maybe a hint to map size. Instead, I saw it as showing a season or dynamic weather/snow system . I.e. You see roughly the same area throughout the trailer but you see it with and without snowfall. 2) with digging in the mud, maybe instead of for building it's for finding bunkers?

Yeah, i'd say digging is for gardening and finding buried "treasures". That door mentioned around 16:20 seems more like it's in the ground, and the player is trying to pull it up to yank it open and reveal a bunker like room.

It looks to me like the digging leads straight to that dirt covered door; since the door is horizontal, as opposed to one you would walk through. So you dig into the bunker. I doubt that it will have anything to do with building.

I think the Electrical parts will be a big thing in this game. In "The Forest" there wasn't much you could do with them, besides making the bombs. Maybe you'll need to use electrical parts to repair devices around the map, like the 3D Printer.
