**UPDATE: The one thing I started to dislike a bit more is the slow-motion. I love that you can shoot 120fps but I am finding that the image is fairly soft. The 4K footage is stunning, but 1080p just lacks that quality. Its still great, but for professional work that I am trying to do, and the fact that I shoot slow motion 75%+ of the time, its not up to par. Thinking of upgrading to a newer FF Sony camera next year. This is such an amazing camera! Totally recommend it. Stay tuned for the next video where I talk about the camera menu and my settings for video mode

Use to own the canon 80D, which had the flip out screen, it was cool BUT the Hinge was weak, ended up breaking less than 4 months, canon did not cover the warranty, Switched to SONY, first Camera A6500, not fully articulating screen like canon, BUT the thing is built like a Tank, Loved it, Amazing Eye Auto Focus and 11FPS with 4k, Also bought the A7RIII, NEVER Looked back!

Do you recommend 7 Artisans lenses for the professional use??
@michaelfrymus6 жыл бұрын
Hmm, honestly I can't really comment on those lenses as I have never used them myself, actually I don't think I've heard of them either.
@safarali30416 жыл бұрын
Well it's a Chinese lens which you can easily find at AliExpress and from Amazon or Ebay

Amazing Amazing Amazing ... Your review should be in this cam shopping websites ! Love it so much ! I have been watching many vids about this cam because I wanna buy it and you have made my choice. Can you choose me one lens to start with, I am thinking to get Sigma 30mm F1.4 Contemporary DC DN Lens ! What do you think ?

Thanks a lot! I'm uploading a video about lenses later today. The one that I have used and the ones I recommend. But it's very subjective to your needs. Check out the video first and then if you are still undecided, leave a comment in that video and we can chat :)

Michael, thank you. However I respectfully ask that you and other KZbinrs please understand that the vast majority of photographers and filmmakers who do not Vlog but shoot pictures and film DO NOT want a flip out to the side screen like Panasonic and Canon. The problem is you are an influencer yet you are not representing the wishes of the vast majority of us. So Sony may introduce a flip out screen based on your vlogging needs and your demands, which is not right. For a photographer the flip out screen is a major pain, you have to pull it out, twist it and leave it out until you think you don’t need it any more, then you have to twist it and flip it back in, unless you’re willing to shoot with it permanently left out which not only nearly doubles the width of the camera but tells everyone that you’re shooting from low down. So flip out twist, leave out... repeat. It gets tedious and if you’re working quickly then it can make the difference between getting the shot or not. For video it’s worthless, unless you vlog but the problem is nearly all you tubers vlog so you are all trying to influence the camera companies when in fact you shouldn’t... it’s kinda selfish. The tilt screen like we have here is so much better, it does everything the flip out screen does but is lots faster, lots more inconspicuous and doesn’t nearly double the width of a camera. Please please... we don’t want a flippy out to the side screen, of course some do but most don’t. Sony just keep things where they are right now please!!! Thank you.

Chloe Scanlon I don't vlog much myself either. I'm not a big fan of vlogging as I too prefer to just film and do photography. Once in a while I'll add a little vlog segment in a video, but I prefer to film instead. But there have been times where a flip out screen would have been helpful to get the shot better. When shooting low or in awkward places or I often ends up putting the camera in a corner... I can't see my framing. This does apply to vloggers, but I'm not big into vlogging. So I was discussing things more so related to what filmmaker would want. Yes, it is a big pain. But you don't need to be flipping out out every time. Only when you do need it. And it's good to have in case you do need it

Great review man, thanks for sharing! I was thinking of getting this camera to replace my a6000 which sometimes has overheating issues with long recording times. The main reason I would upgrade to the a6500 would be the 4k, stabilization and autofocus. Is the autofocus good enough to track faces/moving objects in video? Does it lock on and hold focus in low light, I would really appreciate any advice! Also, please checkout my channel, I have a similar style of channel! ✌😀

I have not tested the newer Sony cameras, but from what I have been told and heard a lot is that the a6500 has one of the best autofocus sensors available (Other than the top end Sony cameras) -- In low light it is tougher. You have to have a fast lens.

Hey Michael, thanks for getting back to me! It sounds like the a6500 would be a great solution for autofocus, for the low price! The best of course would be the new a7 iii with it's incredible focus system! And yes I always like to shoot shallow on F1.8/F2.8 for that film look! I usually focus manually with video but it takes a lot of time and multiple takes to get it perfect that's why I want good autofocus! Thanks for your help!
