For automatic attachments... Make filenames identical (in Proxy folder) and add "_Proxy" suffix to each filename, For example : scene1.mp4 and scene1_Proxy.mp4 (this file should be in proxy folder).

@@armankizir2185 on windows, open notepad, insert this line "for %%i in (%*) do (ren %%i ?????_Proxy.mp4)" (when you use the default naming of the A7sIII, otherwise you need to add some ? to the name, so there are only the last 3 characters left out) and save it as eg. renameproxyfiles.bat, then drag the proxy files onto the bat file and it will rename them all in one go. no need for external software.

To enable bulk attachment inside the "Attach Proxies" dialog box in Premiere Pro UNCHECK "File Name" and INSTEAD CHECK "Media Start" under the "Match File Properties" section which is located at the bottom left corner of the window. This way, even if you need to attach a large number of files you can avoid the one-at-a-time headache:)

You need to rename the proxy in total Commander as the original files and Proxy replacement in Adobe Premiere works from the first file (specify the folder where the proxy is) then with one click Toggle Proxies switches from the proxy and back to the originals;)

And why are you saying that the XAVC S creates smaller file sizes? Typicly the H.265 has smaler file sizes. at 2:20

Hey Tech Notice, I have a question for you. I'm working with proxies and I don't have the original file, only the proxies are given to me. The proxies I'm using were created directly from my boss' Sony Camera. When I have the project file, I simply attach the provided proxies. Once attached, the 2160 x 3840 proxies are compressed, but the 3840 x 2160 ones are fine. What could be wrong with the 2160 x 3840 proxies and why are they compressed in Premiere Pro, but they're fine when opened in VLC player?

In the a7sii you lose face detection autofocus when you do proxy do you lose that in the a7s3 or anything?

If you're using a Mac just select all the proxies, right click "rename", and replace "S03" with "_Proxy". Then Premiere will automatically find them when linking proxies.

maybe it's because the proxies file names doesn't exactly match the raw clip file names so premiere doesn't link those automatically

To record 120 frames per second or higher I think it will be work with the CF type express cards Type a from Sony. But they are expensive.
