Do not do the pixel cleaning once a week. It even warns you at the bottom to "Use Panel Refresh once a year or less to avoid straining your TV screen."

​@@MinimalisTechHaha np! These oleds usually do a automatic "pixel cleaning" after like 4 hours of continous use or more which is how they maintain the pixels during longer sessions. You dont have to worry about the panel refresh function unless you start dealing with possible burn in which is what its designed for and should only be used as a last resort.

I love my A95L. I’m coming from a LG G2. I definitely see a huge difference on the picture quality and motion. Especially the UI. It’s so much faster 👍🏼

Man I love your reviews, you really just sound like a legit consumer. You should do one for the Bravia 9! I would love to hear how you feel about a mini led. Specially since you have so much experience with different kinds of OLEDs

I haven't seen it in person. But every video I see of it...doesn't do it justice I guess. It hasn't been overwhelming impressive to me. Btw I daily watch a s95b so it's gonna be difficult to impress me.

Looks like a great TV but still waiting for prices of OLED to come down some more. I have an entry-level 75" Samsung NU7100 from 2018 which I've quite enjoyed but would like to stay around the same screen size. Might consider dropping to 65" for the right TV however. I love my old Panasonic 42" plasma that I bought in 2008 and the fantastic screen uniformity it has.

Don't use panel refresh! I have over 6000 hours on A83J an the display is like on the first day!

does anyone notice that the color red doesn’t look good on this tv ? it doesn’t even look red , it makes me not want the tv cuz the red looks bad , i wish sony would fix that cuz other then that the picture looks really good .

You can't knock it for not coming in other sizes. It uses the 2nd gen Samsung QD-OLED panels, and it comes in the same sizes as the Samsung S95C, which also uses those panels. There is most likely zero availability of panels outside of 55, 65, and 77 inches.

hi Nicw to neet you i have a Sony X95L , when i connect PS5 to TV and VVR Game mode is not active enouch ligtning on HDR and is not look good. It look bad that i m not going use PS5. But when i use my PC with 4080 is loook so good more then my OLED monitor. It mini TV 75 now i use as my monitor and netfix in TV look is OK on 4K, then i buy Appel TV to use Netfix on 4K HDR it now more then OK on TV. I think LG OLED on Netfix is very good, This X95L is good for TV if you have big GPU

One thing about these Oled TVs. That dimming while gaming or watching sports like Hockey and Soccer would drive me nuts. Waiting for them to get Oled Tech over this dimming hump. One guy told me on the BestBuy website to turn the peak brightness down to MEDIUM. Hell no ! Then what would be the point of the added peak brightness this year? Might go for a 75" MiniLed this year. See what Sony does with the follow up tot he Z9K this year. Hopefully they'll make the X95L the Z9M in 2024 so I can get it in 75". Oled is just not there yet. Not until they solve the dimming issue.

Almost no brand other than LG does Dolby Vision correctly in all fairness but that is a let down regardless.

Could someone advise how a HDMI switch would work with the Sony? Would it save picture settings for each thing, for example if had different settings for my ps5 & Xbox, using the switch would the TV be able to recognise this and apply the settings? Or would it use the same settings all the time for each thing and I would have to change each time depending what I was using? Regards, confused person.

Personally I think it’s better compared to my previous testing on the C3. Although I think the G3 would be a closer comparison with the MLA OLED panel

Wouldn't ever use it in a video game it will increase input lag just like on any other TV. The motion is great in game mode you won't need motion added.

I had a issue with spider man miles Morales on PS 5 early during the first part of the game after I defeated rhino and went to fight the enemy that appeared spider man landed on the other side of them and then the stick stopped moving and the buttons wouldn't work it happened a second time earlier before rhino appeared and when I went to fight the enemy that appeared the stick stopped working and then the buttons wouldn't work I hope I get to play spider man 2

You can turn off tone mapping on the A95L to calibrate in the console hdr settings. Once dialed in, re-enable gradient preferred.

Dolby Vision does not work properly. A very reputable Calibrator stated that a future firmware update could help this problem.

HD upscaling was why I returned my 2023 QD OLED, it was modded also. 4K Content looked great, everything else was “meh”.
