The BRAVIA THEATER QUAD is the successor to the very popular HT-A9 surround sound system.

Got a 65 A95L and a Sonos Beam Gen 2 and Two One SL rears. Think About to Upgrade to the Ht a9 or the Bravia Quad But 2700 Euro in Germany is a Hard starter Price 😬 is the Spatial 360 Sound good for Gaming with a Ps5 ? I don’t Watch so much Movies! So far its a good upgrade but the biggest upgrade is it's connectivity. The HTA9 would have drop outs depending on your room. These are much better

Factoring out drop outs, worth spending an extra £1.2k for? I wouldn't bother with a slight upgrade, but if it's amazing compared to old HTA9s then I guess worth the huge price difference. Thanks v much!

​@@spoony88888On their own, they do sound better than the originals and there's added functionality and like Brian said the drop outs is completely gone. You can even place the control box in a cupboard now with no line of sight and they will work perfectly. Makes for that delicious wall mounting minimalist design. Where the big changes come is if you pair it with a 2024 TV. Paired with a Bravia 9, it's really like having an actual center channel as the speakers on the 9 are absolutely fantastic.

It really depends on your set up. But at Sony I preferred the bar 9 as it felt a bit more punch in the center stage

​@@BRIANSTECHTHERAPY Wait until you try the quads with the Bravia 9. The speakers on that TV are using the same beam tweeters found in the bars and it sounds absolutely incredible like having an actual center channel. Once the new update releases as well it will be even better as on the current model the speakers and TV play independently, on the new models and June/July update, the quads and TV will play in unison and harmonise really well. The TV even gets included on the calibration side of things.

@@usmankhalid990 Hi, it was on a review. They stated this: "In the first-generation center sound field synchronization mode, although the TV and home theater produce sound simultaneously, they actually produce sound independently; The second-generation center sound field synchronization mode, with the in-depth participation of the TV chip, jointly optimizes the sound modes of the TV and home theater during the sound field optimization stage, so that the sound and color can be harmonious and unified" It is called sound synchronization mode 2.0 and it is coming to the following TVs. 2024 Bravia 9/8/7 2023 a95l, a80l, a95el, x90l, x91l 2022 a95k, a90k, a80k, x95ek, x90k, x91k, z9k 2021 a90j, a80j, x95j, z9j. I believe the 2024 TVs already come with the firmware installed so you can start using it straight away with those. The remaining models on that list will get the update in June/July. You do have to use the Bravia Quads or the new Bravia 8/9 soundbars, it is not compatible with older sound models. You then have Zoom voice 3.0 coming which is meant to really enhance voices without actually ruining the rest of the sound (think about other devices when you turn voice enhancement on, it works but it also makes everything else sound horrible). It's meant to only enhance the voices and not ruin the other sounds. However, this is only coming to 2024 TVs (including the 2023 A95L only) and 2024 sound devices. For your question, I believe the Bravia 7 will pair nicely with the Quads but it doesn't have the beam tweeters so it won't be as powerful or clear as the 9 but until we get reviews it's hard to say how good either of them will be. I'm sure @BRIANSTECHTHERAPY will be reviewing the quads alongside the Bravia 7, so he will give a good overview and hopefully he gets the 9 and still has the quads so he can do the same treatment. Either way, I believe the center channel this time will be miles better than the original just by them working together in unison and will definitely be worth pairing the two together. Just be prepared to not tell the wife how much it will all cost 🤣
