A controler needs physical buttons. No discussion about this. Why does everything needs to be behind a screen? We see the same shit in cars. All behind a screen and no buttons. Physical buttons are more intuative, you feel them and know blindly where they are.

Now Imagine you are in the U.S. Army and you are about to deploy for a whole year. You can bring a PS5, but you only have room for that and no physical games because of all your gears and uniforms. The only way to bring as many games as you can is digitally. And no, there's no reliable internet connection where you are going, so you can't just delete and download games whenever you want. The only way to do it is before you deploy, what better way to do that than an 8TB of SSD. Do you think it's worth $800 to have a couple dozen large story driven games so that you have a way to cope with the stress from work and leaving your family and friends behind for a whole year? Sure, it's not for everyone... But it's there for the few and it's not like they're forcing you to buy it.

@@caliginousmoira8565 consoles were a cheaper and simpler way to game for most people. Not a cheaper system that kept up with pc. The only downside to switching is learning where to buy/download games, how to uninstall games and learning how to use keyboard and mouse or how to connect a controller to pc. Also not being able to play on your game saves from console but console players are already use to that from switching from ps3 to ps4 and ps4 to ps5.

The touchpad on the dualsense is VERY functional, and necessary. Especially if you're using it on Bazzite, or another SteamOS derivative. The ability to fully operate my pc from bed is super liberating. Definitely better than a wireless mouse. 1000% agree with you on the battery life though.

You need better bluetooth, I installed a TPLink Archer TXE75E in my PC. It comes with wifi 6E, Bluetooth 5.3 and some nice external antennas. I used to have issues using 3 BT controllers on my living room PC set up, with inputs not working all the time, now we can have all 4 (2 PS5, 1 PS4 and 1 Xbox One) and everyone has a good time. Even 20 ft away on the couch.

Here's an idea. If you want more time on your PS5 Dualsense Edge, spend 20 bucks a piece on a couple of rechargeable power packs and attach them to your controller when you're using it. It's better than spending more money on a new controller over battery life. I can't afford one now, let alone if they make one better and more expensive. Simple solutions to simple problems.

What they should do for ps6 controller is replace touch pad with a non touch basic screen that displays everything for your combat HUD/UI-whatever that's referred to as, except your health. You still need to see your health as you look at the game but the skills & consumables you kind of know intuitively & with a quick glance at the controller I don't think would distract from the game too badly. This would free up a lot of the screen to really enjoy the actual visuals of the game. Just a thought. If they can make the screen something like an E-reader shouldn't use too much power & battery tech is something that is improved upon over time as well.

You can build a budget PC for 1k to 1.2k. 1k for an ssd is wild. I know its 8tb but damn. I have 2tb on my 2k PC and its fine. Would an extra 2tb be nice? Sure. But 2tb is manageable. If i run outta space for a new game i delete some i haven't played in awhile. I have fast internet so downloading is not an issue

More than anything I’d like a dual shock with full functionality wider tumbsticks and a asymmetric layout or swappable dpad and thumb stick. Asymmetric is way more comfortable for my hands in long sessions. On ds4 without stick extenders my hands cramp in like 15 mins just uncomfortable. I love the haptic feedback adaptive triggers and the new tech they bring out but they just refuse to do controllers 3rd party support is wonky. I just bought a nacon revolution 5 because my 3 almost totally stopped working idk if through firmware updates or what not but it fails to connect 90 percent of the time.

@amskon5897 Seagate by any chance? One cool thing is I used an external on PS4 originally. So all my games didn't need transferring when I got the PS5. Just plug and play. I haven't tried multiple externals on PS5 yet. I've only had it a week or so. PS4, you had to disable one to access the other. Which was a little annoying. One thing Microsoft had over Sony, although personally I love both.

The upcoming Indy game coming to PS5 was expected by many, including me. It had little to do with the whole PlayStation/Xbox battle. This has to do with Microsoft's purchase of Activision. Much like what happened with Bungie, Activision wasn't in the best state, and they are losing more money than they hoped to make. Game Pass is stealing sales away for devs that Microsoft has to dish out to make up their loss. More money is going out than coming in, but if they sell on PlayStation, they can make a lot of money. And that's what this is truly about, money

Yeah that drive is way too expensive. Even if or when it becomes half that US$1000 it would be too expensive for me. As for the DualSense Edge that was marketed for being able to easily replace its joystick modules, what they really need to do is have the modules available to be purchased. So far they're not in stock anywhere for at least 8-9+ months which is atrocious.
