Hi, thanks for sharing I just got a 75 inch Z9F and done what you explained no problem it worked. the only thing is it seems to not be totally independent custom pro one and custom pro to some settings are independent and the white balance adjustments seem to be the same across-the-board which makes no sense. Picked it up from Best Buy brand-new in the box $2300 plus tax. Is that a good deal? Also I updated it to the latest firmware software downloaded it put it on a USB stick installed it no problem I have all the new menu systems so anyone out there you don't have to put a different model number TV firmware on yours just download the latest firmware from Sony for this TV it will give you all the new menu system.

I did it on my A95L just now. I got the custom for pro settings 1 and 2. I’m missing the regular custom setting. Did I do it wrong? It’s not even giving the light sensor setting either.

It seems to be caLman not caiman it didn't work for me. One question anyone know? When I have a dolby vision signal I get Dolby vision dark, dolby vision light and then just vivid.. Is this vivid setting still dolby vision albeit it doesn't say dolby vision? I only ask as everything looks better on that than it does on dolby vision dark or dolby vision light... No matter what the hell I do.

Yes I think most people get the blunder about the pronunciation. Anything in vivid is very inaccurate Industry standard wise. However it’s your TV and whatever you like is all that matters.🥂

I think the IP address that you covered in the video is just the internal address for the TV (for instance, is it something like 192.168.X.X?) on your local network, so it shouldn’t reveal your real external IP :D

You enter the ip address on the top right of the app in another device's browser. And be sure to put the port number at the end of the ip number (example) 132.278.0.5:9022 Then it will say its connected then they should be unlocked

Just put the ip For example 111.111.1.1:9022 If it works it will say on the Calman software connected and the options will be available. Basically it’s the same as custom

no it's not the same as custom, it gives you 20 points of calibration instead of 10 for the grey scale, big difference.

I tried this but the 10 point colour calibration was replaced by 20 point. I had to do reset to get them back.

that's the whole point, the pro gives you more settings, 20 point is more accurate than 10 point. Of course it doesn't make any difference if you don't know how to use them or have the proper equipment to set it up correctly. Make sense?

It is calman for Bravia calibration software for professionals so all this does unlock finer control over calibration for the expert color and gama tweaking using a meter, it is not meant to be enabled for anything else.

Try a different web browser make sure you hit the blue button reload. Also make sure both the TV set and your phone are on Wi-Fi. Good luck to you.

@@fadetoblack.- Yes I did. This really isn't that difficult so I'm wondering what I'm doing wrong. iPhone and tv wifi are both connected. App is downloaded and open. Kept trying, no luck. I open google, put the IP address in the search bar with the :9022 behind it. Hit search and it takes me to a web page for router inputs. Set input to hdmi 3 which is my tv input. Put https in front of IP number. Still nothing. But it's okay. I'm happy with this amazing tv and I probably wouldn't have used the setting anyway. Thanks again sir. You're a good man.

FADETOBLACK Sony Z9F 65” blooming and lack of contrast are Pure myth, I notice a noticeably clearer picture then the H9G color is slightly deeper but I haven’t adjusted anything yet. But I’m sure by the time I’m done Sony Z9F will be the clear champ

After 1 hour with Sony you see the dominance of the Master Series right away, I’m blown away this thing is awesome and this is only 65” variant but I’m watching in a dark room right now with ambient led strips and blooming and haloing is non existent so far
