There is no top handle. It's a mic holder that doesn't feel like it can support the wight. The image this camera produces is great, but ergonomically it isn't that much better than a DSLR.

+Matt Sezer I have an FS100 with a SEL55210 lens, and the mic holder is mechanically attached to the handle, which can easily support the weight of the camera, large eyecup, NP-F770 battery and lens.
