Hi, Is it possible that you may can help me with Jailbroken PS3. Its PS3 slim CECH 2501A I was on CFW Rebug 4.82 and upgraded my hard drive to a 1tb. Without thinking, I formatted the old drive to delete my information. Now the PS3 turns on, after 5 seconds turns right off. It does not safe mode boot. If I turn it on without the hard drive inserted. It will boot up but says “Cannot start. The appropriate system storage was not found”. Do I have to add some file to it for it to boot? I have spent days searching forums, but have found a clear answer Any one and any help is much appreciated.

+KELVIN FITZ you may need to mess with a few settings in the Rebug toolbox..first make sure that cobra is enabled, that the system is set to "Rebug" mode, and that MultiMan is in the cobra mode as well If you're having issues with webman, you may also have to disable it, restart, then enable again, and just check the settings on it to to make sure it's enabled properly

So I followed your tutorial and it worked like a charm. Thanks! Question for yah though. When you rip/copy multiple games to the internal HDD in Multiman, when you are back at the XMB is it normal that only the one game you last selected in Multiman comes up in the PS3 folder? Is there a way of all of them showing up or do you have to go into multiman each time to change the game you want to load? Not a big deal but just wanted to make sure I did everything correctly. +Robert K awesome! Glad it worked out for ya! Yes, the way multiman seems to work is..it loads the folder as a disc, so when you back out of the MM and get into the XMB, it essentially tricks the system into thinking that particular game is loaded as a physical disc.. There's a different way of loading the games thru Webman, which can be enabled with the Rebug settings, and it'll basically folderize the titles for you in the XMB's "game" submenu as PS3 or whatever, and when you select a title to run, it'll launch a webpage exploit which you need to close out of, and then you'll go back to the XMB to start the game "disc" up..its pretty similar to MM, with the exception of having to jump in and out of the program vs closing the browser window..so that makes it just a hair faster.. ..but I just prefer the look and layout of multiman personally, so that's what I prefer to use, and plus I use that for archiving my games, which I don't believe webman does ..both launch games the same tho..I guess is what I mean lol

Thanks for the quick reply. I am quite happy with MM as well so I will stick with that. I just wanted to ask because in your video you only copied/ripped one game so I wasn't sure how it was supposed to be displayed when you rip multiple games. So I'm good. I have copied about 6 of my games so far; however, the last one I did doesn't seem to work without the disc. It's Little Big Planet (Game of the year edition). It copies the game over with no errors and passes the verification but when I launch it I get a black screen for a bit and then it returns to the XMB. Weird. I did a quick google search and some people suggested I check off "internal HDD" and "BD Mirror" in the game settings within MM. I tried that but no luck. Is it possible that not all games work with MM? I also deleted it twice and installed it 3 times but still no luck. : (

+Robert K you'll have to enable your cobra mode thru the Rebug settings..most games require a disc to be inserted if you don't have those settings enabled.. If you don't want to use cobra for whatever reason, the easiest solution would just be to have a physical bluray disc in the system when you launch the game, and it should boot up just fine with the disc inserted

Wow, another quick reply. This is like having my very own tech support. Lol. I am copying the game back to my internal HDD as I had deleted it again when it didn't work. Once it's done I will try your suggestions. So just to clarify, as long as I have any bluray disc in the system it will launch the game? Even a blank one? Lastly, is there a reason I wouldn't want to enable cobra mode? Is there a disadvantage in doing that? Sorry for all the questions as I'm sure if I googled this stuff right now I could probably find the answers and leave you alone but I figured I would take advantage of my free tech support right now. Haha.

+Robert K lol, no worries amigo, that's what I'm here for! And I believe it has to be a game in the drive..but no, there are zero disadvantage to having cobra mode enabled..it's just a matter of finding the right setting to toggle and restart your system, and you're as good as golden. The multiman program will rename itself MMCM which is just multiman cobra mode, and that's how you know it's what you wanted. But, if you don't want to do that, for whatever reason..the "disc in the system" method works just as welll.

+Edgardo Escobar nope, you have to be on 3.55, and that specific model more than likely will not even support a firmware that low. There's no way to hack from any firmware other than 3.55

+Ratchet _061 the only way now is to flash the system's firmware back down to OFW 3.55 using a hardware flasher..there's no other way to hack it unless you're on 3.55.

+Sportinguista Favd that's exactly the flasher I'm talking about. You need it if you have a slim PS3 that's not on the official Sony 3.55 firmware.. Without the 3.55 firmware, you're not able to hack the console, and there's no way to downgrade or get to that firmware without the e3 flasher.. (and depending on your PS3 model, you might need a different flasher because the fat PS3's used a different type of chip to store the firmware on, and what the flasher does is get placed directly on the pins/legs of the chip and basically dump the contents of the chip to a micro SD card, after that you can patch the firmware and transfer it back to the raw chip with the flasher which allow you to downgrade back to the official 3.55 firmware) Alternatively, they sell consoles on eBay that are already flashed back down to 3.55 in case you don't wanna open up your system or buy the $40 flasher..but those can be expensive, and this is more "fun" and hands-on

+KELVIN FITZ oh ok, it's as simple as starting up your PS3 with the Rebug 4.81.2 firmware ".PUP" file in the PS3>UPDATE folder on the USB thumb drive (as shown in this video) then going to "system update" and updating via storage device (your USB thumb drive) If you have Rebug toolbox, just make sure you have your QA flags enabled

+The Two Edged Sword⟺Trinity_ONE the only way to downgrade is to flash with an E3 But you'll still need a console that's capable of being downgraded to 3.55 OFW..which I'm pretty sure none of the 3k's are capable of..but there is a tool called "minimum firmware checker" that you can run that would tell you if you can run 3.55 or not on that console. 2k consoles are relatively cheap tho, and the hardware flash isn't that hard of a process, as long as you're comfortable opening up a PS3.. I had planned on making a tutorial on the E3 flasher, cos it's a bit confusing at first, but ends up being really easy once you get used to the process..

I think there have been some developments on how to "side-load" games onto the 3k and super slim 4k's but I honestly know nothing about that yet. And it's still not a jailbreak..it's pretty much just for piracy, so no ripping games, or homebrew stuff from what I understand. How are you attempting to downgrade your console anyways? There is absolutely no other way to downgrade other than a flasher..so anything else is likely a scam/virus/malware
