I have Sony A 7IV and have just managed to transfer a video from my camera to smartphone (android) using the Creator's App. Did the same steps as in video and t worked. But if you have 10bit videos, your smartphone won't read this format (at least my doesn't). 8bit - works fine.

Hi what about transferring videos from Sony Rx100 vii to iPhone? Imaging edge app is horrifically slow (unusable even with 100gbs wifi speed). Using a standard sd card reader to transfer to iPhone also doesn’t work because mark vii doesnt create mp4 video files that are readable by iPhone. This makes using the camera exceedingly frustrating.

Ah, it looks so simple. Unfortunately, the app in this video is nothing like the app available, at least as of 10/13/2022. There is no function on the app for scanning the QR code, and nothing about using NFC. I've spent two hours trying to transfer photos from my RX100M7 to my iPhone 14. I spent 20 minutes on the phone with Sony support, watched half a dozen youtubes and red manuals. I can't get them to link up by wifi, bluetooth, or RFC. This is a mess. Remarkable that engineers who made a great little camera can't make sense of manuals or the software for transfers.

I am using a RX100 VA and have the Image Edge App on my phone (Samsung M30s). Initiating transfers via NFC is OK but what I need is a fully automated transfer after taking a shot. So: Trip the shutter on my RX100 VA and after a few seconds the JPG image should appear on my phone. Is this possible with this Sony App?

On my "bigger" cameras I use a Toshiba FlashAir SD Card for automatic transfers. Maybe I should switch off Wifi on the RX100VA totally and use a FlashAir card.

You can try turning off the camera, removing the battery pack from the camera for 2 minutes and then putting it back in again and test. @@SonyEuro I have a Sony A7 III and shoot raw. I’ve tried to use my phone as ftp server too, but it fails to connect properly. Only way I’ve managed to get full quality is to use my pc either with cable or SD card reader. From there I use Adobe bridge and Lightroom and upload to cloud. Then use Lightroom on phone to get them to my phone in decent quality. Not something one does when your’re out traveling etc.

Hi Conny, when using Imaging Edge Mobile, RAW images will be converted to JPEG and sent. When [RAW & JPEG] or [RAW & HEIF] is selected, only JPEG or HEIF images will be sent. Which is why you cannot get the pictures with the best quality directly to the mobile, for that you will still need to rely on a PC to transfer the RAW files: bit.ly/3SjmTxA. ^Sawy
