I don't know if I'd call Umbreon one of the best eeveelutions, I remember it doing terribly low damage and only being useful for the catching mechanic

@@zacziggarot actually umbreon is considered one of the best eeveelutions, in competitive, it doesn't do a lot of damage but that's because it's stat growth is based around its defense. People will teach it toxic and it has access to pretty decent recovery moves and secondary status ailments like confuse ray, so it's more for stalling until the opponent takes itself out then doing damage through it's attacks.

If they introduced a new orre game, it would be interesting if the shadow aura just came back mysteriously. Cipher would be unknown. Region wide panic, Introduce breeding, and a way to return stolen pokemon and encourage it. Although you can breed down before returning

How cool would it be if the trainer you play as was a descendant of Rui as an in universe explanation for why your character can see shadow pokemon? Some other things that would be nice additions aside from the physical/special atk split would be easier ways to catch wild pokemon. Have reusable tms. The exp all share. Have some new or altered locations. For example the main team snagem base could be long abandoned with the only residents being a few wild pokemon like zubat,sandstrew some bug types and the occasional trapinch or skarmorey. Now hear me out…If you don’t want to use it then they could just let you turn it off but for me I’d rather not be three to five levels lower than most of the important trainer battles and have to waste hours grinding.

I would personally make the new Pokemon Colosseum game a Legends Arceus - style time skip game, going into the future from the where the original games finished - perhaps making it so the Orre region has its own regional variants that've adapted to the arid and barren wasteland that is most of the region, we should have similarly a finite number of pokemon available in the game so all of those pokemon could have their own regional variants/forms for the game specifically - perhaps the game could have its own new set of shadow pokemon and do something different with them this time, or instead of shadow pokemon there are Paradox Pokemon and/or Ultra Beasts let loose to the region and we have to eradicate them by either snagging similarly or relocating them some way

I’d like to see a more open route based version of an Orre game where the poke spots worked and we can catch Pokémon traditionally. Double battles for trainer battles still since that’s the culture. And maybe see how like Unova and Alola being US based more or less have an impact. Like maybe Cipher and the Aether Foundation are working together.

It's cipher all over again, but they all have snag machines and they snag one of your pokemon and shadow it if you lose the battle. You get it back once you win and you're playing as an older Michael that at some point ran into and was mentores by Wes

...a twist on how it could be is that Mewtwo finds it in a different demention, which also allows pokemon like great tusk and iron trends to be found and for time zones to be active due to the disruptive forces of Mewtwo's psychic enemy that is being used to power the machine that turns pokemon into Shadow Pokemon, until you capture Metal Mewtwo at the end of the game. Which also adds in Metal Mewtwo to the game. A metal/psychic type that has fire guard ability (prevents fire type damage)

As for new locations, the time zones could be to the past or to the future and depending on which direction you travel you'll find new locations such as electric power cities that only wild pokemon live in due to the present events not being stopped by you, or the past being over run by logging groups who have Shadow Pokemon and are cutting down trees that used to be in the area in the past, with more wild Pokemon also being found as sorts of bosses that'll join ya if you beat them fast enough.

Grand Colosseum is actually pretty hard. I find myself using the heal machine a lot more than usual. Colosseum in general is the best Pokemon games we could have gotten. Considering we get to steal other Pokemon from their trainers legitimately and many other things too

I have both Coliseum and XD: Gale of Darkness, and a working GameCube. The nostalgia is all mine to appreciate, and no one else may have it! Edit: Favorite third gen Pokémon is Swampert, and I will die on that hill. It's actually my favorite Pokémon of all, even to this day.
