When using the Holosun SCS PDP solar charging green dot sight it mounts directly to the Walther PDP slide. No optic plate needed. The stock sights co exist perfectly with this model with no need to exchange for taller front/rear sights...Another winner from Walther.

Only problem is the SCS doesn't have Shake Awake and auto brightness (can't control manually) which can be a big deal for a lot of people. Plus the battery life is 30,000 less hours. If the SCS had the 507C features, it would be a smash hit.

@@jrod5628battery life of the SCS is 10 years. The 20,000 is basically them saying you can leave it in dark storage for about 2 years and it’ll still run in the dark. About 4 hours in sunlight and it’s back at 20,000 charge. If you shoot once a year, even indoors it’ll never die until the battery fails at 10 years in. No shake awake needed when it’s always on. If the auto adjust wasn’t so perfect, I’d have an issue with it.

Nice review! I just picked up a PDP-F Pro 4" a week ago as my first pistol, mainly for HD and Range. I'm still waiting on my mounting plate for my 507C... then I'll be able to really test this thing out! Loving that trigger. Ergonomics feel phenomenal. I also installed the ZR Tactical Ultra Mass 15lb guide rod upgrade to absorb more front recoil... along with a Streamlight TLR-7X. Loving the 18 round mags too :P

Follow up. Shot 200 rounds in my first outing trying to zero in my optic and getting to know it. Fires very nice and very balanced. Brought my bro-in-law and he enjoyed shooting it as well. In time, this gun should shoot and fit like a glove. :)

Don't forget, that the PDP models actually use Glock sights. so any Iron sights that will fit a Glock will fit the PDP. This is an awesome feature because there is so many types of irons already available. we didn't have to wait for companies to make PDP irons..

PDP's are great guns, the styling on the Pros are pretty slick! It looks really WIDE, it is 0.1 in wider than a Glock 17, less blocky of course.

PDP 4in Compact with a Holosun ACSS Vulcan is my EDC. They call it a "Compact" but its not. Harder to conceal? Yes, but that's the only gripe. Those ergonomics and trigger make it so easy to shoot well.

Just because it feels good in the hands and has a good trigger doesn't mean that the company isn't being ridiculous with their decisions. People wanted the pdp pro professional without the optic not a version with a plastic trigger, plastic sights and gigantic plastic magazine baseplates. The entire point of a compact is that it's supposed to be easier for carry! With the gigantic magazine baseplates it's bigger than a full size. They do that stuff on purpose to sell more magazines. An aluminum trigger shoe is around $75 dollars and metal magazine baseplates are around $40 dollars a peace so the pro-e isn't actually a good deal. The regular pro is a good deal but the pro-e isn't. All people wanted was a compact pro, with the metal trigger shoe, without the threaded barrel and without the gigantic magazine baseplates for carry but they decided to make a bigger profit. Polymer Striker fired platforms are cheap to produce so they sill would have made a big profit. Not only that but they're putting a cheap, garbage recoil spring/guide rod in the regular pdp so you have to spend an extra $100 dollars on the upgraded version if you don't want it to be insanely snappy 🤦. They should be putting the good recoil spring in these things at the factory but they decided to sell it separately instead. A person is better off just buying a m&p and installing an apex trigger kit until walther decides to listen to their customers. That's my opinion.

viridian is garbage. their support is pretty good though. they have replaced my rfx35 6 times now. would never put it on anything beyond a range toy as it rarely makes it through a single day at the range on anything.

I bought the first model PDP when they first hit the market. The trigger pull is amazing and it’s accurate as all hell. The recoil is straight back into my andI find easy to rack the slide and I have very bad hands another great handgun.

Echo the other guy. I thought the same thing. It moves a little with recoil but something about how its built and the ergos, it comes right back to on target without having to work at it. Im pretty snobby and any of the models with the performance trigger, not just the flat, are some of the best shooting non-race guns ive ever shot.
