It's so sad, watching this video that's only a year old and now all the LV bags you mentioned are well over $1,000 cause LV keeps upping their prices (and in such a small time frame!) The Alma BB in canvas and Petit Noe are $1,400+ now, how crazy is that? I feel like nowadays it's hard trying to find a designer bag under $1,000 unless it's a mini WOC or wallet, but even some wallets and WOCs are over $1,000 now. You will absolutely LOVE it! I got mine in November while in Vegas for our 10 year anniversary! Only complaint is the strap is too short and non-adjustable. I was wearing a light maxi dress while in store, so practically no layers and it was ok. But once I got home I realized I couldn’t wear it crossbody with literally anything (I’m very busty). So, I swapped out the strap with one from a Coach bag I no longer wear and now it’s PERFECTION!

I've got a Noe GM and wore her today to run down to London Bridge. I love the history behind the bag. It's actually my favourite Louis Vuitton bag from my collection. I'd recommend the Noe GM over the neverfull as a great neutral, sizeable, everyday bag for security reasons since it can close. I can even run to Paris with just my Noe and my speedy 35 for a quickly weekend break. The perfect travel set.

Hi Sophie. You are such an inspiration to me. I bought my first luxury handbag about 2 weeks ago. I went for the YSL clutch on a chain, in a soft pink with silver hardware. The initials YSL right on the front of the bag. I know I made a very, good decision because I had that combination already that I bought 10-15 years ago and now I upgraded. I also bought a pouch in black sheepskin from CHANEL!!!! Yay! I haven't seen the bag I want yet, but because of your great advice, I knew I had to get what I wanted when I saw it because it WILL go up in cost/value. It's quilted, has gold hardware with the CC on a caviar band on top, about an inch and 1/2 high. It's stunningly, gorgeous in my eyes. Thank you for doing these videos. I Love you. microporetape same thing happened to my speedy b25 in DE. the manager told me that for her personally she sees nothing wrong about it. and its bcoz of humidity. but the thing is it doesnt happen to my other bags which i got before this bag. I am so frustrated. They took my bag in for inspection and send me message the next day saying they just clean my bag. ciel Selitorio After 2 weeks the tarnishing was noticable again, so I went back AGAIN. They took the bag for a couple of days. And behold! They did the same thing. Cleaned the brass and claimed that there’s nothing wrong with it. I already made up my mind to sell it and got a couple of serious buyers.. But the SA suggested that I should use the bag more frequently then send it back on it’s worst state so they can re-assess again. It’s really frustrating!

Such sensible advice. They are all lovely, simple and ageless bags. I am not into mini bags, I just can't down size comfortably to that extent, but all of these bags come in several sizes, except the soho disco and that is a good size for a camera bag. I would be happy to own the larger size of any of these. They are all beautiful and so practical.

I got Gucci Soho Disco and Alma BB, I use Gucci much more because I see it as a casual bag , it holds loads and and it's not flashy. Alma , is more of a formal bag for me , I use it for dinners, going out etc. Plus, it's still very new and I'm a bit careful with her.

Great choice! I started my collection with a similar Dior wallet on chain at 18yrs old and it was the best decision. Love love loved it, used it to death and the best part is Dior said they can send it to Paris for a polish and service whenever needed.

rimple sohi kadyan odd seasonal colors will always go on sale on most websites. This is why I refuse to pay full price for seasonal color bags. Most designer bags will discount unique colors most people won’t buy. YSL and Givenchy puts them on sale often. Same goes for most designer shoes in the USA. A neutral color like black will never go on sale, but a hot pink will.

I think Gucci Marmont camera bag is also a great choice . I went to Gucci and saw it next to classic marmont flap and realised the size difference is not bad and the bag is now one of my favourites. Super practical (can even fit 500mil of water) and I just can’t believe I never heard of it before , like it much more than disco with the price around 860£ if I remember right

The Gucci Disco was my first luxury bag purchase and I love it! Personally, I couldn't bring myself to pay 1.5K + for a bag so when I saw the disco I knew I had to get it, just like you said the shape is very minimal and classic and the price is very reasonable :)

The Gucci Marmont Camera bag is another good one and its £895 I think. It was £800 when I bought it a year ago. I also just bought a vintage Christian Dior Saddle bag for £190 and its authentic. The new saddle bags are now close to £2000 and more. Nice video!!!

my first designer purchase was when i was in Europe. I was scared of the get taxed with duties so i go that YSL clutch you mentioned. I guess I made the right purchase! Though i wish I didn't get the black and gold chain... the gold hardware is way too yellow and go the beige and silver or less yellow ton chain. at the end it's too small so i hardly wear it only for special occasions.

I loved the Prada bag, it's actually the first time I'm seeing i! The black one looks like you could very easily wear it during day time and night time! It's not the first time I'm seeing Gucci's Disco Bag and I have to say that I can see that it's a practical day bag (maybe night bag if you go to a sunset party?) but the plain look really doesn't charm me.

Carla me too! It’s never in stock at my local store Nordstrom. My poor disco bag gets used the most. It’s versatile and goes with everything. It’s my cheapest yet most used bag. I need that Prada bag!
