In two magnificent words Paulie describes his Ma's friend Minn

It’s an old Sicilian tradition...; a principal cannot refuse a request from an old neighborhood friend once cheap luggage is handed over.
@MrBodin263 жыл бұрын
There were no school principal's in old Sicily, therefore it can't be a tradition. Mostly peasants lived there, school was not a common thing back then in those parts. :)

One of my favorite little things throughout The sopranos is when either Tony, or one of the guys is talking to somebody that they want something from in this case Paulie is having a "conversation" with the principal and right when they walk away there's this face of disgust. The gangsters in the show want to have their cake and eat it too, you can't have a reputation of robbing, killing, extorting people and expect them to want to associate with you.

I really felt for his "mother" when she was being excluded from the people she probably thought liked her and would be her social group. The scene where she's in her bed is one of the saddest moments of the show. Then you find out she's not wearing her teeth, snitching on the ladies, and it's a different dynamic.
