Like, I see your cloak and my brain is all "That can't be real" and the artist side of me is thinking, "you're literally watching him apply it, you can do this too." Wish I had the model to try to imitate what you've done here. It's truly special, one of the best tutorials on any model I've seen on this whole website.

Yes I have thought about filming a battle report! However I think I'll need a new camera with better focus tracking first.. 😀
@HotelCharliHill3 жыл бұрын
@@Sorastro auto-focus certainly helps when people are talking and moving around the board, but I think training to manually use a focus on the lens could help. Also, I'd strongly suggest not doing it like others do, but often setting the camera down on one of those flexible three legged tripods which would permit for very quick raising and lowering the camera close to the table top. I'd also go for a LOT more cinematic shots, close to the table where people can see the gorgeous detail in the models RATHER THAN the very undetailed and rather boring angles far from the table in the hands of the host (great for setting up what's happening in each activation, but not enjoyable if they never get down to the level of the characters to bring the viewer 'into the action' just like in film). "Play on Tabletop" from Canada does really good battle reports for WH40k, and I think they're the best going right now. If I was doing this stuff, I'd borrow a lot from them, but also incorporate much more of a cinematic experience. Hope those suggestions bless you!

As a side query, I suppose you could do the Scale Mail on the arms as well as the legs in the same way? If you wanted to be similar to the comics or the films
@Sorastro4 жыл бұрын
Thanks so much Adam! Oh yes, you could totally do the scale effect on the arms too if you like. For aesthetic reasons I'm quite OK with the bare arms personally; I just felt that the legs were crying out for something different to break up the black leather running from the tunic all the way down to the feet. :)

Hello. What scale are these figurines? It is not stated on Amazon. They look around 1/48 - 32mm. But i would like to be sure.
@Sorastro4 жыл бұрын
Hi! They're quoted as being in 40mm scale (or 0 Scale in model train terminology). Thor - being quite mighty - measures about 45mm from feet to top of the helmet, and Captain America is 40mm tall. Also I'm using die cast cars in the game that are in 1/48 scale and they seem to fit the scale of the minis quite nicely. :)
