Literally watching this while waiting for a coat to dry on a mini I'm painting lol. It's only my second one of many to come on my painting journey. You've been an absolute inspiration for me as a beginner, and have already taught me countless techniques that I've been able to apply successfully. Just wanted to leave you a thanks for being that inspiration that gave me the courage to jump into the hobby, and being the teacher who taught me skills I'll be able to build on for years to come. Thank you, Sorastro.

I figure this video is as good as any place to leave a comment: Yesterday I was continuing a space marine I'm painting and after taking a picture and looking at it I was rather pleased with what I saw. Inevitably I thought about the progress I had made ever since I started painting miniatures a couple years back. And so I thought it would be nice to direct some sort of appreciation to where it all started for me. Had it not been for your videos of Imperial Assault I would have never thought about humbly starting to paint those Stormtroopers. And that would've never led to painting some Zombicide minis and finally some GW stuff and ultimately resulted in a very rewarding hobby for me which I take a lot of pleasure from. Even though I don't watch your videos as religiously as I used to I have very fond memories of following you along or simply be in awe watching you paint the fire giant from blood rage. Your effort and work gave me a huge push in the right direction and if nothing else I thought I'd take the time say thank you for all that you do! I'm quite certain your work does not only inspire me but many many other people to pick up this wonderful hobby.

Dude u are the best, and i mean it.You keep it simple ,with easy steps and with few colors and some easy mix, so everyone can have access to them without having to buy a ton of differente tones of every color,and with perfect results that give us the courage to try it ourselves. ive watched lots of painters on youtube but they seem to forget that they are doing a painting guide and dont keep it nice and simple. i know that some people are more experienced on painting and are more demanding , but your videos i think cover both the pro and average type of painters. keep up the good work.

Have you ever used yellow to break black's rather than blue/greens ? Would you reccomend it? and for what use?
@Sorastro4 жыл бұрын
Hi Daniel! Black kind of shares properties with blue, so mixing it with yellow will give you a dark, greyish green tone. That's not so say you couldn't do it if you wanted, I just find blues and purples have a bit more "depth" so typically work well in shadows and darker tones. :)

Hi! I usually just water mixed with a little flow enhancer (I use the Daler Rowney stuff). 🙂
@danielbeam31134 жыл бұрын
I've never understood how your paint stays wet on the model for so long. I get it staying wet on the wet palette of course, but my paint dries super fast once it hits the mini. It makes wet blending way harder than you make it look.
@Sorastro4 жыл бұрын
Hi Daniel! I think the Daler Rowney Flow Enhancer I use helps slow the drying time a little; you could give that a go, or simply buy some retarder. :)
